@trevor454545 Most people don’t get that many PTO days to begin with and I’m sure would like to use them on vacation or doctors appointments etc and probably also have to be approved of ahead of time. Saturday nights races are better especially in the summer

“While I totally get TV runs the show in a lot of ways, there are still a lot of people that come to the races that would also like a day at home to recover” Chase Elliott’s response on being against Sunday night races in favor of Saturday night #NASCAR

@Rennskate142334 @CorvetteRacin48 Definitely a great time to be alive that’s for sure! Running OpenSpeedway, the DMP sever whenever it popped up. Those were special times.

@B_DayKH4 @CorvetteRacin48 Nah that was a modified wrecker server for drunk racing Openspeedway and the other one just ran fixed set 4x fuel 18 lappers at TonaDega. Those became pretty clean in the second half of the N2003 online period.

@B_DayKH4 @TravisRockhold Because my point is that for over 20 years they haven’t figured out how to properly enforce a rule that hasn’t changed a single time. It’s a plain and simple rule, real hard to fuck up.

@43tpink @TravisRockhold Now you’re putting words in my mouth. I never once said they’re great at enforcing the rule properly. Literally only talked about 2003 and Bubba the other night.

@B_DayKH4 @TravisRockhold When you force someone below the line, you should be penalized. They’ve only fucked up that part of the rule every single time but once. But yeah man, they’re great at enforcing the rule properly. 👍

@43tpink @TravisRockhold You’re oh so conveniently leaving out the part of the rule that includes being forced below the line.

@43tpink @TravisRockhold What’s the problem with how they’ve saying the rule works? Everything I’ve heard this week aligns with how the rule works.

@B_DayKH4 @TravisRockhold The way that they are saying the rule works, it’s a bad call. The way the rule is written, it’s the right call. You’d think after 25 years, with a rule that has never changed, they’d have figured out by now how the rule works and enforce it properly every time.

@43tpink @TravisRockhold Not a good comparison. Jr was beside Kenseth with all 4 wheels above the line until Kenseth forced him down. I was a Harvick fan at the time who ran 2nd to Jr that day. It was the right call then, it’s still the right call today.

@TravisRockhold Because if they called it like this from the get go, Dale Jr wouldn’t have won the 2003 Aaron’s 499. There’s absolutely no line in this rule. It’s officiated horribly.

@Jrevans1245 @jeff_gluck Respectfully, you and others are missing the main point. “Ifs” and hypothetical scenarios are irrelevant. The fact is he went below the line and it got him in position to pass the 77 and take the lead for a brief moment in 3. Period.

@B_DayKH4 @jeff_gluck I understand that, but the momentum he had if didn’t cross the line he probably would’ve got the lead off of that move. So it wasn’t like going across the line helped him more than it would’ve if it worked out the way he intended

On NASCAR's "Hauler Talk" podcast, Mike Forde says it doesn't matter that Bubba Wallace didn't actually complete a pass while below the double yellow lines; it's the attempt to improve his position that was the foul. Forde: "If he did go below the yellow lines and eventually improved (his position) and he did that to improve it and he wouldn't have gotten to where he did without going below the yellow lines, that's really what matters here in this case. He doesn't actually have to make the pass while under the double painted line." Also says the SMT data didn't matter about Wallace attempting to give the spot back after going below the double yellow line because there are no give-backs with this rule.

@nascar_opinion It's crazy how many times I've read "since he didn't improve his position". Did you even watch it? He got on the inside of the #77 because of the below the line move and then passed them into 3. "Improving your position" doesn't just mean fully passing someone

@jeff_gluck They say he wouldn’t of been in that position if he didn’t go below it, but Hocevar gave him plenty of room on the bottom lane and he went below because he lost control of his car. If it didn’t and he stayed above the line he would’ve been in the same position

@TheLuxxRyder @DavidPolenz33 @DCONN24 …but he went below the line to get position on the 77 which subsequently lead to a pass being made. That’s the rule. Has been since 2001. It’s not that hard to understand.

@THDesigns2 No kidding lol. That’s just how I’ve always known the rule to be interpreted. As long as it was evident he tried to give the spot back, no harm no foul, but he didn’t do that it appears.

False equivalent @TheMikeBagley football has a clock MLB solved extra innings by putting a runner on second with no outs Football is over around 11:30 Play in most weather. Why not move start time to 4:30 pm? Ratings are important.

@wojakotto @RoastedBurned @dechick14 Of course it matters. The folks complaining allegedly have to get up at 4/5 AM. 11:00 PM is late for that crowd! They’re going to be absolutely dead tomorrow! The humanity!

This is really unfortunate for those of us who work early jobs on Monday morning. NASCAR races belong on Saturday nights or early Sunday afternoons.

@wojakotto @RoastedBurned @dechick14 The constant complaint hasn’t been relative to the delay and you know that. Quit cherry picking. SNF ends 10:00-10:30 for me in the central time zone. That’s 11:00-11:30 EST.
