Am I the only one that realized at the time that Ellie & Joel were in no way in the same location? Like, the background of Joel looks nothing like the background of Ellie, so it seemed obvious to me that they were splicing two different scenes together. Like, this is something that movie trailers at the time (especially Marvel movies) did all the time to make 2 characters seem like they’re talking when they never actually share a scene

We know way too much about stuff before it comes out so I think more things should mislead and have false marketing. Being surprised by a story is one of the greatest feelings in the world. Why would you want to have that taken away by a trailer that showed everything
