More than 100 international legal experts express profound concern over serious violations of international law in the Iran war, including potential war crimes. "The initiation of the campaign [against Iran] was a clear violation of the United Nations Charter, and the conduct of United States forces since, as well as statements made by senior government officials, raise serious concerns about violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law, including potential war crimes." justsecurity.org/135423/profess…

@MikeShea2014 @Chellaney With so much adversaries, it would be difficult even to maintain the growth rate. Nations would find other trading partners who are reliable and believe in reciprocity. No one is happy dealing with US even his trusted allies.

@B_S_Gupta @Chellaney BUT 40-50 Trillion in debt can be an issue but Economists say its not a problem if you can grow your way out with GDP. Thats Trump's plan to get to 5%+ GDP so the debt payment is manageable. Its also why he wont want a prolonged war with high gas prices cause it defeats GDP.

My column: Trump’s war on Iran, and his earlier military intervention in Venezuela, reflect his long-held belief that U.S. control over international energy flows can translate into global geopolitical supremacy and arrest America’s relative decline. That belief has now hardened into operational policy under the banner of America’s global “energy dominance.” Bringing both Iran and Venezuela into Washington’s strategic orbit would give the U.S. an unprecedented lever over global energy markets — one that could be used not merely to influence prices and supply, but to discipline rivals and steer the economic and foreign-policy trajectories of partners. thehill.com/opinion/intern…

@ZubyMusic You just be happy. What others do shouldn’t be your concern. Why Because I can keep them away when I know they are upset but people hide their intentions. So my philosophy is I will remain happy; you choose yours.

The most influential accounts on the internet weren't built by viral moments. They were built by showing up. Consistency isn't just discipline, it's a signal that you aren't going anywhere. Audiences unconsciously trust permanence more than brilliance.

Most people think that they need to think more and harder in order to fix their problems; they actually needed to think less, that would have helped them sustain the kind of mental clarity that would have prevented most of their problems from happening in the first place.

@dmuthuk Any war big or small has its own disastrous consequences. The irony is we know it is bad for people, it doesn’t solve any problem yet it has been continuing for times immemorial. One thing that hasn’t changed with the time.

No one has any clue as to how long and how far this conflict would go. This war is too much interconnected with daily life of people all over the world. If the war doesn't end any time soon, we are in for huge pain and suffering. Looks like it is very bad time for the world.

Who gave him the right to do so? Is he or US become law unto itself? What for UN was created? Are we living in a rule-based system or not? What happens to sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations? If same thing happens with US what will be its reply. It is not Iran, it is US going to Stone Age

Not the speech which world was eagerly looking forward. Trump is escalating the war with Iran. Vow to destroy Iran in next 2 to 3 weeks and take them back to stone age. Not a good time for the world. Expect lot of death and destruction in the weeks to come. Iran may bomb the entire gulf region. If critical energy infrastructure are destroyed in the gulf region, we are looking at a long term global humanitarian and economic crisis. World is suffering because one mad man is calling the shots.

@Chellaney But we too are a nuclear power state; our behavior belies what you are talking about. Being a nuclear state and even then submission to larger powers is inexplicable .

Juxtapose Trump’s warning about hypothetical Iranian “campaigns of terror, coercion, conquest and mass murder from behind a nuclear shield” with what prominent American scholar John Mearsheimer says about Trump’s and Netanyahu’s own flagrant violations of international law carried out from behind their countries’ nuclear shields. The uncomfortable reality is that nuclear weapons do confer a form of immunity. Whether we like it or not, a nuclear arsenal shields states from meaningful accountability, enabling them to violate international law with a degree of impunity unavailable to non-nuclear powers. x.com/ChrisLeonardAT…
