The origin of experiential Christianity comes from the older term experimental Christianity, which itself comes from the Latin word experiri, “to try, to test, to prove.” It refers to a Christianity that is felt, verified, or proven true by personal experience. It is a change produced in the heart, will, & affections, not just the intellect. The fathers of the Reformed faith treated experimental Christianity as a non-negotiable when it came to true faith. Without it, one is not a Christian. Here are the 10 best books for getting a sense of experimental religion:

Right now every born again believer I know is going through a storm, and many are enduring spiritual tribulation on multiple fronts. Now more than ever we must unite in prayer for each other. May God keep us strengthened until the very end.

@AISafetyMemes The worst part is how at this point it would already take one of the most extreme coordinating feats in history to even stop this. this nonsense begins as a feedback loop of incentivized, compromised humans who feel like they have to keep building

CALLING ALL ABOLITIONISTS! Oklahoma State Capitol TOMORROW, Monday, February 16, 2026 10:00 AM HB3038, the Abolition of Abortion Act, now has 16 co-authors and continues gaining strong momentum. Republicans hold a supermajority in both the House and Senate, giving us the votes to pass equal justice for the preborn. Yet one man stands in the way: Representative Rande Worthen, Chair of the House Criminal Judiciary Committee, where this bill was assigned. He just released his committee's final agenda, and HB3038 is NOT on it. This is a deliberate attempt to kill the bill in committee and deny justice to our preborn neighbors. We will not remain silent while our preborn neighbors are denied equal justice! Join us tomorrow at the Capitol to peacefully demand that Rep. Worthen schedule a hearing for HB3038. Bring signs, bring friends, bring your voice. Stand for justice. Love your preborn neighbor as yourself. The time to abolish abortion is NOW.

After last night’s exchange I’m going to speak my mind: there is a pole shift on the right. Pat Casey, Martin, and MG are one side of the pole shift. Pete Q, Stormy Waters, T777, and others are on the other side of the pole shift. This has had disastrous consequences. (🧵/7)

🗿 Woe to those who dwell upon the earth 🗿
I quietly blocked the entire Claremont network last fall when I was given information proving to me that that entire set of accounts is conducting information warfare against the Right. If I could say what I knew, I would. That's why I didn't "denounce" anybody at the time.

“How marvelously is the inner voice of conscience quieted, and the spiritual sharpness which is part of evangelical truth blunted, as all should easily observe and confess, when minds are bolstered up with insuperable philosophical prejudices.” —John Owen, Biblical Theology, 680

@B_______Q_____ @ptomer @KorahSons It says “reformed libertarian” It says that because I’m reformed from libertarianism (and Reformed in the religious particular sense) The confusion is understandable (and intended) but does not warrant dismissing as libertarian unless my argument is libertarian

Our nation was founded as a nation for white persons who were almost entirely Christians. Is it a sin to want our nation to return to this again, to be a nation whose citizens are white Christians? Is such a white Christian Nationalism sinful?

@ptomer @B_______Q_____ @KorahSons I was a libertarian. I’m not anymore. But if you want to dismiss legitimate Christian concern for your political project without engaging with the most friendly conservative perspective that says more about your prospects of success than it does me.

@EidolonOracle @KorahSons @ptomer The gibeonite objection is one i've thought of myself. I'm still not sure it's right to say a) a covenant by oath was made with them b) by legitimate authority c) that cannot be overturned or has no "escape" clause.

Are you saying that God did not ordain the Assyrian, Babylonian, Greek and Roman displacement and co-option of these people groups? Jesus entered this world after the Edomites had been forced out of their patrilineal homeland and intermixed into Idumeans: the Jews attempted to “righteously hold on to their patrimony” and were displaced shortly after. America is more complicated than “a patrimony” to only European descendants. Our neighbors are no longer just “sojourners” and in many ways as faithful waiters for the fulfillment of Christ’s perfected kingdom we are called to be sojourners in this world. I don’t see a righteous path to displacement. I do see a righteous path to impartial justice.

@ptomer I am weary of examining this issue. I am rarely to never allowed to vent my questions. I'm tired of reading peoples' posts, hoping for a more substantial and rigorous argument and answering objections, and never finding it, because "it is obvious" & all questions are bad faith

The number one reason why you should not believe the popular account of the holocaust ---> The Destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. Mark 13:19, "For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be."
