Where your son disappears into Evin Prison and you get a call to come pick up the body. Where the internet goes dark so the world can’t see the killing. That’s what “they have lived in a world that you know nothing about” means. Before the media turns this into “Trump wants to bomb civilians,” understand: the Iranian people have been begging the world to see them for years. The usual suspects are in an absolute meltdown over Trump’s post today. Trump has been very clear about his upcoming deadline for Iran, and that he intends to destroy Iran’s infrastructure if they don’t surrender. Trump is not threatening to kill civilians or use nukes. Trump is reminding the world that the deadline is 8pm, and he wants Iran to surrender before that deadline. If not, we will just keep killing leaders and bombing infrastructure until what’s left of the regime choose to submit. They would be wise to do so sooner than later, and Trump is applying maximum pressure to make them fold quickly. This is a negotiation. You are watching the Art of the Deal.

I have been one of the biggest supporters and participants of the independent journalism movement, for about 9 years now. But after witnessing just how bad the “reporting” and fake news has been recently, I think the clickbait influencers might be worse than the MSM. The whole objective of a decentralized and independent media, was to circumvent the corrupt mainstream legacy media, and provide accurate reporting to the masses. The mission was to create a well-informed populace. Very few stuck to this mission, and for those of us who did, we have been drowned out by clickbait, disinformation, and astroturfed bot engagement. At least with the current setup, there is a CHANCE that the public can find some accurate reporting/analysis, but the waters have been muddied with so much bullshit and propaganda, it’s nearly impossible. As for what the solution is, I’m not sure, but the status quo cannot remain. These clickbait influencers spreading lies have become the very thing they were supposedly set out to destroy.
