We are 5 points clear of Spurs in the relegation zone There are 5 games left of the season Spurs haven’t won a game this year in the league They can’t catch us. We are mathematically safe 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 #NFFC #THFC

Spurs fans, I'd still say you going down is 50/50 as it stands, even if West Ham win tomorrow. There are hundreds of twists and turns yet It's not over by a long shot But time is running out (I'm not a fan of any UK club; I have a season pass at a Spanish Liga 2 club.) #thfc

@THFC_Lew I think you need to worry about yourself instead of being obsessed with what Arsenal are doing at the top end of the table.

@BenDinnery The players are letting Howe down. You can see too many individuals protecting themselves for the World Cup or a summer transfer rather than committing to the shirt. When players prioritize their own futures, the manager always takes the full blame.

🎙️ Eddie Howe. #NUFC On Livramento and Gordon after the loss to Bournemouth… ‘For Tino, that’s a huge blow for him and for us. I actually thought that Kieran’s [Trippier] introduction at the start of the second half made us stronger, but then losing him was a big blow…’ ‘[Gordon] missed training on Thursday and Friday with a problem he picked up on Wednesday. So, we knew he wasn’t going to be ready. It was an injury. He went for a scan on Thursday morning…’ ‘With Anthony, we’re unclear when he’ll be back. We don’t think it’s a long-term injury, but whether he makes next week, we don’t know. We’ll have to see how he goes this week in training.’

This picture sums up everything to do with the club at the moment,it’s sad what’s going on with Howe after what he has done for us but it isn’t good enough and I think deep down he knows. Also I don’t think the so called BIG players haven’t done him any favours. #nufc

No manager can be allowed one bad season, we cannot afford it with our wanted trajectory. This season has been a monumental failure from start to finish, with constant mistakes… Manager, players & coaching staff. Semi- consistency would have had us in a CL race #NUFC
Craig Hope@CraigHope_DM

I don’t recall others taking the team into the Champions League twice or winning a trophy. It’s about looking at the bigger picture & applying context/understanding. Howe has overachieved. He’s allowed a poor season (which includes a Carabao semi final & CL last 16 @ Barcelona)

@OverscoreW0lf @NUFCEdge You call him clueless, but that substitution shows a manager trying to regain control. Trippier brings structure. Fans see a "washed" player; we see leadership to stop the rot. It is so easy to judge when you don't manage the pressure of the dugout.

@BabsTrevor @NUFCEdge He's clueless mate, that's why he subbed on a washed Trippier at HT when we were losing 1-0

@ADMusgrove Newcastle fans must be very careful. Sacking Eddie Howe is a grave mistake. I guarantee he will be the next England manager. When future coaches arrive and inevitably fail to build on his foundations, you will bitterly regret letting a top man leave.

You can have differing opinion on Eddie Howe’s future, what has gone wrong this season and why but any blame attached to fans is utterly ludicrous and insulting. Talk of ‘expectations are too high’ is absolute nonsense. #NUFC

Be careful what you wish for when it comes to getting rid of Eddie Howe. I'm sure he'll go on to be the next England Manager, and you'll be wishing he was still your Manager when other new Newcastle Managers come and go... He'll live long in your memories. #NUFC #EddieHowe

Up until the Bournemouth game, I was Howe in. I respect his impact on us during a time when we were facing relegation. Getting us to the UCL twice was outstanding. However, I think maybe it’s time to move forward. Woltemade has been terribly mismanaged. Elanga, what was the thought process there? Wissa? I have no words. Eddie is a great manager but I feel like the road is ending.
