For me, tipping is standard operating procedure. And it extends beyond restaurants, to petrol attendants, airport or hotel porters, Uber, Uber Eats, nightclub or stripclub bouncers,etc. Everybody rendering a personal service gets tipped. And I refuse to eat out with people that are against tipping, especially generously. If our bill is 1k, I pay 1.25k and you protest that "udlala ngemali 😳"or “the get paid”, that will literally be the last time you dine with me. If you don't tip, don't ever invite me to a restaurant. Let's meet at KFC or Macdonald's.
