With the closure of Splash Mountain, here are some throwback photos from construction. Will be interesting to see the changeover and what will remain from the original attraction.

@compressedyugi Quite possible. A lot of the ones that were in there were recycled from America Sings. So it wouldn’t surprise me if they refurbed some of them and reused them

Very few remnants left of the Wonders of Life pavilion. This sign was backstage just before the closing still showing a lot of the original attractions of the pavilion. I’m sure it will be removed during the refurbishment.

@BackDoorDisney Do you have any photos of voyage of the little mermaid today? I’ve heard it was covered in mold and I’m very curious to see what it looks like in there.

@ExtinctDisney As far as I’m aware the building is still sitting pretty much as it was. Animatronics were taken out but everything else is still pretty well in tact. Pre-show room is still as it was during the meet and greets

Does anyone know the accurate current state of what's behind these doors today? I believe when last they were opened, the preshow was still intact?

@jewpal1 @BackDoorDisney @Disneyland I have blocked the account. I worked at Disneyland for 39 years and never broke Disney policy of not taking pictures backstage, so to preserve the magic. I see magical things and wonder how. It must be sad to have to know.
