@TheBrattPack63 It’s a word usage issue. Same thing happened with “elite”. As soon as it gets around, everyone wants their own guy to be it and it becomes commonly used. It happened with the term “lights out” too. All of a sudden, everyone was playing “lights out”. And with “travel” sports, too.

🚨#BREAKING: Quinn Hughes has reportedly informed Bill Guerin that he has zero plans to re-sign with Minnesota and would prefer being traded. Multiple sources close to the organization claim Hughes never truly gelled with the locker room and often felt like an outsider throughout his time with the organization. A reporter close to the team also mentioned him not remembering the names of certain players, which ultimately caused friction in the locker room.

More and more speculation the Nashville Predators could be hiring an individual working with a club that is currently playing in the Stanley Cup Playoffs as their next GM. Darren Yorke from Carolina appears to be a candidate. There’s talk the Preds are paying their next GM on the lower end of the scale which may have turned away other candidates. #Preds

Woke up to three articles asking what’s Next for Quinn Hughes. He has another contract year but can sign an extension this summer. If he doesn’t, the Wild need to trade and get whatever they can ASAP. Do the Devils think they can contend next year? Will it be worth the assets for a player that, if he doesn’t resign with the Wild, will come to the Devils anyway? The Devils have the same issue with Nico Hischier.

What Tom Fitzgerald did here with the young core he had at his disposal is one of the worst GM jobs I’ve ever seen in American pro sports. Waiting through a decade-long #NJDevils rebuild just for him to destroy any chance of a contending window is unforgivable stuff, man.
