Whether the alleged Epsom rape gang turn out to be illegal migrants living in the town’s asylum hotel or not the fact is we have a huge problem with young men from misogynist countries. They come ashore and they want sex. They see white girls as easy prey. If they’re caught they often claim they didn’t know it was illegal to kidnap and rape. Because of their culture. There are tens of thousands of these men and, even if their asylum claim is rejected, they are rarely deported. They just get a letter telling them they should leave. Yes, really. It is a scandal that successive governments have put the human rights of illegal migrants above the right of British women and girls to be safe in their own country. The fact that asylum lawyers game the system encouraging their clients to say they’re gay or Christian or at risk for political views is not news, BBC. Men get off the boats and head to their country’s embassy in London and take pics of themselves “protesting” outside so they can claim they risk jail if they’re sent back. Asylum caseworkers do their best. But they have to hit targets so the government can boast the backlog is coming down. It is easier to grant than reject. To meet a pledge by Rishi Sunak police and terrorism checks were suspended for a period. It’s that bad. Caseworkers have a maximum of 2.5 hours to check an asylum claim. The applicant will be fully aware of how weak the system is and will lie. When the first lie fails they get a chance to try again with a new lie. These men are often aggressive about their rights and know exactly what freebies and health appointments they’re entitled to. If they mug us it’s because we’re mugs. Most British people don’t want to be idiots taken advantage of by calculating opportunists. We don’t want to read another story about a 12- or 13-year-old dragged off a street and raped. The useless authorities try to cover up how useless they are by suddenly finding police to manhandle protesters. Where were the police when the girls were being raped? We are fast reaching breaking point. We are familiar with the lies and evasions. We will not be intimidated out of protecting our own daughters when the authorities have put them in danger. I don’t know what will happen in Epsom. But if the police and government try to hide the consequences of their failed border policy from the people soon there will be hell to pay. Frankly, how dare they? Our girls come first.

The real question is: how is this team top of the Premier League?

@DougieCritchley Bored of hearing “Premier League is the best league in the world”. It’s demonstrably the least competitive of big 5. It doesn’t have the best teams, stadiums or attendances, wins less trophies in Europe. It is best at marketing and generating revenue. Nothing else.

Klopp left, one of the greatest Premier League managers of all-time and the best players of his side Van Dijk, Salah, Robertson, Trent, Mane, Firmino... all either got deep into their 30s or left the club. Man City lost the bedrock of a side that DOMINATED English football... De Bruyne, Gundogan, Ederson, Walker, Cancelo, Alvarez, Mahrez... many of their replacements haven't quite hit the same level. The world's best talents... Mbappe, Bellingham, Khvicha etc chose to sign for clubs outside the Premier League. One of the Premier League's best players in Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich. A number of star players outside the Top 6... Olise, Raphinha, even players like Huijsen and Zabarnyi, left for the biggest clubs in Europe. Put that all together... and is it really any surprise that the Premier League's form in Europe has taken a downturn? The real star players, are as usual (bar a few exceptions) playing outside of England.

@DuaLiparsenal @DougieCritchley Your problem is that you're ignoring the fact that he had three seasons in which no Arsenal team in the history of the club has ever reached the points total. And, frankly, you won't get to see it happen in your lifetime either.

@DougieCritchley Your problem is you called Klopp one of the greatest Premier League managers of all time with one title to his name in a decade - which will be equalled by Arteta this season in his first ever managerial job. Go look at Klopp's 1st managerial job - relegated and sacked.

I have noticed a pattern. Most abuse I get on here is from Liverpool supporters. Now I’m not saying that all Liverpool supporters have a low IQ 👀 but I have definitely noticed a correlation between Liverpool fans and their ability to engage their brain. Funnily enough the most horrendous people I met in the slammer were Liverpool supporters too, and indeed scouse. 🙈🙈 Up the fucking Toffees 💙

@beth_lindop I completely agree with this. However, under no circumstances should any team struggle like we did against 10 and 9. Especially not the champions. There are just not enough excuses or angles in the book to explain that away. We have to just be honest here.

Seen some pretty extreme reactions to yesterday’s game. Liverpool weren’t great by any stretch and still have work to do to prove they’ve turned a corner. But this is a team that lost 9 in 12 not so long ago. Unrealistic imo to expect them to suddenly be firing on all cylinders.

Watching increasing numbers of these clips, I’m coming round to the idea that John Barnes was perhaps LFC’s greatest ever player, after all. Only the fact that we were limited to just 3 years of his pre injury peak complicates the debate.
