Also there is the problem where these development costs are in the most expensive parts in america.
Nothing you can do to fix that except moving development somewhere else but then how do you relocate entire teams?

Prettier graphics for one, I dont think its as simple as going back to ps3 era fidelity.
But stuff like less open worlds, shorter games-

I honestly think these budgets are not sustainable especially when they need to sell 6 million copies to BREAK EVEN
They need to find a way to lower these maybe lesser focus on graphics

Video game budgets in US and Canada for AAA games are $300 million or more, and this is entirely dev salaries + overhead AAA games need to sell over 6 million copies just to break even, and that’s before marketing Explains why we’re seeing so many layoffs and closures

This is one of the greatest works of art or biggest pieces of shit. No inbetween. There’s also a dedicated button that makes 50 Cent yell insults like “Die Cocksucker!” at his enemies.

Yes I had some issues with some of the maps, but for those first few months I thought cod was back… and then warzone happened & that was the nail in traditional cod.

@TheCartelDel On a somewhat related note, I wonder how well mafia the old country did vs its budget because that was close to the type of games I want.
Relatively cheaper, linear action games.
Hope it was successful enough for take two to consider a similar model for bia, duke nukem etc 😂

@DaveOshry Not Capcom-related, but if talking about something 3rd person shootin', someone should nudge SEGA into making a new Vanquish, or Binary Domain. Imagine what we could have using today's tech.

Played the Pragmata demo. Very good 3rd person Capcom shooty. Cool use of the controller with all the hacking during combat.
Haven't played one of those in a minute.
Bring back Lost Planet while we're at it. Also if anything bad happens to Android daughter I will be very sad 🥹
