@peter_szilagyi It's a fact though that since the merge ETH inflation is much lower than BTC's.

@hardtotelll Depends on which changes. It looked bad that the vast majority of wallets voted NO but wallets controlled by the receiver of the 50M voted YES

@Badaras4 Given ongoing value extraction claims against Aave Labs, could stronger DAO governance changes realistically reverse the current narrative around AAVE?

Long AAVE / Short MORPHO mean reversion play becomes interesting at this point: AAVE took most of the damage already. Non-believer whales and funds dumped, retail panicked. Bad news is priced in. Meanwhile, good news on MORPHO is baked into the chart. It went almost +100% from bottom on the Apollo and Coinbase news + traction increased. Retail and late joiners started saying MORPHO > AAVE after smart money is already in profit. Fundamentals on AAVE in short to mid term remain solid with clear roadmap, while MORPHO was driven by good news and traction growth but no update on tokenomics yet. The risk in this play is ACI joining Morpho or Morpho announcing value accrual to its token holders. It'd drive the price further. NFA. DYOR.

Aave Labs' "stealth privatization" of CowSwap revenues probably was one of the leading indicators for the Aave/Morpho repricing.

Aave Labs is partnering with @CoWSwap to provide an improved swap experience across aave.com. Swaps will now have better prices via CoW Swap's solver and protection against MEV attacks.

@StaniKulechov I'm sadly losing trust in AAVE. DAO has to pay 50M and still loses many valuable stakeholders.

Over the past seven years, Marc has been one of the most active voices in Aave ecosystem. Through the Aave Chan Initiative, he helped shape incentive programs, contributed to the protocol's growth, and played a role in the DAO’s evolution. His impact on the community is well documented and widely felt. The protocol continues to operate as normal and incentive programs are unaffected. Aave Labs will work with the DAO’s other service providers to make sure this transition is smooth for the community. We thank Marc for everything he has contributed and wish him well.

@lordjorx i will not sell my AAVE, but I'm not buying more either. I will also not take my assets from AAVE immediately, but I will consider reducing it and definitely not adding more. Aave Labs are doing things wrong. Will also vote NO.

I am considering selling my $AAVE bags for the first time in a long time. I’m going to vote "No," but I know my weight as a small holder is nothing compared to Aave Labs. However, what really bothers me is the total lack of communication. Aave Labs seems completely indifferent. Their only response to all drama is that they will gradually replace V3 (not drastically). Everything else stays the same. This reminds me exactly of what happened with @PancakeSwap. $CAKE had a ve model that worked; it generated revenue and kept people happy. Then, they decided to remove it unilaterally, ignoring a community that was 100% against the change. Aave is much bigger, and as many people say we might be witnessing the first "Nokia moment" in DeFi. We are seeing a giant that could actually disappear because it refuses to listen. If the people with the real talent and reputation (like those at @bgdlabs and @AaveChan) teamed up with a fair system to build a lending protocol from scratch, they could do it right this time. It’s hard to grow from zero, but reputation matters. Right now, Aave Labs has the voting power to force a "Yes," but they are losing the trust that actually gives the protocol value.
Ignas | DeFi@DefiIgnas

The "Aave Will Win" Snapshot vote is live. Aave Labs made one change: softened V3 deprecation from "should" to "could" and removed the 8-12 month migration timeline. Everything else went to vote unchanged: - Still bundled (many delegates asked to unbundle) - No accountability report - No AAVE holdings disclosure - No KPIs per product - Revenue deductions still at Labs' sole discretion Same $51M ask. NAY is leading. But ACI traced 663K voting power to wallets connected to Aave founding infrastructure. That's enough to win the vote alone. They are yet to vote.

Grateful to Jackson Hinkle and the team at @RTB_io for the opportunity to lay out the @Sharplink thesis. Stablecoins. Tokenization. Institutional DeFi. Three structural tailwinds converging on Ethereum. This is the decades-long opportunity we're building for.

As the Aave DAO is about to vote on the largest funding proposal in its history involving a controversial contributor, Aave Labs, we published a full audit of their (lack of) performance. It's a very long read, but I invite everyone to dive in and form their own opinion based on evidence.
Aave-Chan Initiative {ACI}@AaveChan

As the Snapshot for the $51M "Aave Will Win" ask drops tomorrow, take a look at our Audit of Aave Labs' performance and their ~$86M in funding they've received to date. This deserves the community's full attention before any major decisions. Read the full post here: governance.aave.com/t/aave-labs-86…

Damn, $SBET just hit 46% institutional ownership! (Nearly half the company is now held by institutional investors, sitting on 867,798 $ETH worth approximately $1.72B) It's easy to pass this off as basic table stakes in 2026, but think about the ground we've covered over the past few years... Optionality for institutions wanting $ETH exposure used to be non-existent. Now, they have a growing number of options: - They have the regulatory green light to buy spot ETH directly (though will need to deal with custody headaches). - They can buy an ETF (though they'll miss out on staking yield entirely rn) - Or they can try to find a public vehicle that actually understands how to put $ETH to work. That last one is the strongest option IMO - and Sharplink is positioning itself as a leader in that space. Here's what they’re doing under the hood: They’re staking nearly 100% of their $ETH holdings - not 50%, not 80%… nearly all of it! (Since June 2025, they've generated 13,615 $ETH in staking rewards.) That's pure yield accruing to shareholders without any additional capital deployment, with their holdings split across native $ETH, LsETH, and WeETH. Point being: this isn't just vanilla staking - they're using liquid staking derivatives to maintain flexibility while still capturing yield. This offers institutions a regulated, Nasdaq-listed vehicle that gains productive $ETH exposure without managing validators or custody infrastructure. As for retail investors? They get access to the same institutional-grade execution and staking yield without needing six figures to get in the door. And regardless of what investor label you fall under - if you’re an $ETH bull: This means more long-term committed capital tied up in $ETH that isn't getting sold at the first sign of volatility. Hell yeah!
Joseph Chalom@joechalom

Our institutional ownership of $SBET grew to 46% as of Dec. 31, 2025 putting @Sharplink among the most institutionally held digital asset treasuries in the market. More than 60 new institutional investors along with many existing investors, some of the top financial firms in the world, drove this growth.

My mistake was believing I could be more profitable than Bitcoin through altcoins. My mindset was literally: Why would I buy Bitcoin for a possible 2x if I can do a 10x with other assets? Lies. The moment you have a position in BTC, everything changes. Of course you can be profitable, or even outperform it with many other assets. But the level of security BTC gives me, no ALT gives me. Bitcoin, always. If it goes below I’m buying more
