@toog416 @irbrodie As we are, according to a former Prime Minister, a "post national state" perhaps the country colloquially known as Canada is more appropriate.

@toog416 @TorontoStar The "rule in, rule out" trap is one he should have been able to avoid. It's not his first rodeo.

@DavidMcLA @susanholt If you need the government to tell you how it’s lost. Give me a break. Little empathy for government telling me how to think.

@mike_ras Many years ago I was in Boston when a fan did something similar. Boston cops laid a beating on the guy in full view of the crowd. We cheered. Sorry, not sorry.

@jamesfburnett The real challenge for any contender will be finding 500 NDP members regardless of how they self-identify.

Pro tip: Do your strategy, don't say your strategy. Don't tell potential robbers how you plan to respond. Let it be a surprise. cbc.ca/news/canada/ha…

@MitchHeimpel A Liberal caring more about violent criminals invading homes than the innocent homeowner protecting his family is hardly a surprise.

President Trump told Walmart and other companies in June to “eat up” the tariffs. Based on this morning’s inflation data, it turns out they can. The pro-counter-tariff crowd in Canada will soon realize we don’t have that luxury.
The Food Professor@FoodProfessor

BREAKING: U.S. grocery store prices fell in July despite additional tariffs, with food inflation for store-bought items at 2.2%, down from 2.3% in June. In Canada, retail food inflation was much higher at 2.8% in June.

@CavansBiggio The most the Jays should do is to offer him a minor league contract with the possibility of a callup.

Big grocers are branding many in-store food items with a maple leaf symbol and, at times, declarations such as 'Prepared in Canada,' or 'Made in Canada.' CBC News has found that sometimes the Canadian connection for the products is unclear. cbc.ca/news/business/…

@toog416 I saw the full robot model in use at a Buffalo Bisons game. The robot transmits the call to the umpire behind home plate who makes the signal. The games look no different than if the umpire were calling balls and strikes. The umpires association apparently hates it.

@toog416 I've seen various iterations of the ABS system at spring training and minor league games. The addition of the video replay on the big screen makes all the difference. I'm a fan.
