York man Nicholas Radley-Holmes, 37, who had a history of violence towards women has admitted breaking a dog’s leg by kicking or throwing it downstairs. He will be sentenced at a later date. Let’s hope he gets a PRISON sentence. A woman has admitted to causing "immense" suffering to 23 cats by trapping them inside a wheelie bin without food or water. Sharon Price, from Epsom in Surrey, placed the cats inside the bin and secured the lid with a disused microwave, leaving them terrified and unable to move. The RSCPA said those at the bottom of the pile were "slowly crushed and suffocated by the weight of the others pressing down on them". It added that the cats' urine dripped down to the bottom of the bin, soaking the bodies of those below and burning their airways. "The ones higher were tangled in a metal grid with no way to escape. They had no option but to stand or lay on the dead bodies of other cats below them," according to the charity. "They all would have experienced extreme fear and physical pain," it added. Eight of the cats died, while the 15 survivors were found severely dehydrated, underweight and covered in fleas. They had been in complete darkness on what was a "hot day", the RSPCA said.

An influencer has been slammed by an animal rights group after reportedly revealing she left her pet dog behind while fleeing Dubai. After missiles and drones began striking the UAE, Maddy Burciaga packed up and relocated with her family to Mauritius. The 32-year-old French influencer later told her 2.7 million Instagram followers that her dog had been left behind with the family’s nanny. She said: "It was too complicated because there’s too much paperwork." However, the decision quickly sparked backlash online, with animal welfare group La Ligue Des Animaux publicly condemning her actions. In a post, the organisation wrote: "Influencer Maddy Burciaga says she left Dubai for Mauritius due to tensions in the region… leaving her dog behind with the nanny on the pretext that it was 'too complicated because there’s too much paperwork.'
