When those people act like people on welfare are living it up, you can tell because living on welfare is miserable and you have to be essentially destitute and the help you do get is pretty much peanuts. You will find yourself skipping whatever you can that costs money. Even meals. You’re constantly stressed about feeding yourself with the little assistance you do have and you constantly worry about not meeting your financial obligations you have. It’s not fun, it’s not glamorous. It’s a rock bottom feeling.

I do wonder what the calculus is from the Ukrainian Air Force on hitting Donetsk airport with storm shadows when other munitions can hit it. Perhaps they need the penetration capabilities or there was a time-sensitive target like a commander. One would imagine though that there’s a vast range of other targets they’d wish to hit elsewhere. I’m sure we will get more information in the future that makes it make more sense.

@balkan_fella I acknowledge that Russians are human and dont celebrate when civilians die. I still capitalise the word Russia and i dont think its right to say that all Russians are scum who deserve to die. I actually know some who are lovely people who despise Russia and many hate that fact.

@balkan_fella Ive blocked them. They celebrate civilian deaths, fuck them! Its not uncommon for supporters of Ukraine to be extremist nationalist types, they will block us for acknowledging any sort of nuance that doesnt align with their extremist dogma/mantra.

@evo1tactical @balkan_fella Ive mutually blocked a lot of them because im not an extremist Ukrainian nationalist. I support Ukraine because its the right thing to do but lots of them are like cultists who have similar attitudes to vatniks, celebrating civilian deaths etc.

This happens to me all the time, and yeah, it can get frustrating. I see people with Ukrainian flags all over their pages saying they support Ukraine, and then out of nowhere they block me. People I have never spoken to, never engaged with, nothing. What makes it hit a little harder is the reality on my side. I wake up almost every day and go out to train Ukrainian soldiers. I have been doing that on the ground, under real conditions, for the last four years. This is not theory for me. This is real. But I have learned not to take it personally. A lot of people on X use this platform as a popularity contest or for attention. It is not always about actually helping Ukraine. And once you understand that, it starts to make more sense. The people who are truly in this for the right reasons, the ones actually supporting Ukraine in meaningful ways, are not out here blocking others for no reason. They understand what this is about. So do not let it get to you. Stay focused. Keep pushing forward. One team, one fight. Keep up the good fight. Слава Україні. Героям слава. 🇺🇦
