Severe Thunderstorm Warning continues for Mount Pleasant TN, Hohenwald TN and Hampshire TN until 1:45 AM CDT

I expect scattered storms in the Nashville area beginning around 7 pm this evening with the bulk of the thunderstorms, some possibily with damaging winds beginning around midnight. Expect storms to rumble throughout the overnight. Severe threat from midnight to 2 am. #TNwx

A 2nd round of storms is possible Tuesday (this is a separate round and not a continuation of Monday). Damaging Winds and Large Hail are the main threats with Torandoes also possible. Timing is evening into Overnight.

Widespread early-day convection appears quite possible across parts of the Midwest tomorrow, which depending on the track and intensity of this activity, will determine the northward extent of the robust severe threat. We’re still concerned about the potential for a significant outbreak of severe storms and tornadoes, but the exact placement and ceiling is still quite uncertain. We most likely won’t know more until late tonight if/when tonight’s storms develop in the Central Plains.
