Easter has always been my favorite holiday. My first Easter in Colorado was in 1996. Life was pretty difficult back then for me on every level financially and emotionally. I was missing the beautiful Easter dinner normally shared with my family but I was alone in 1996 far away from my nieces and my mother. I was going through a divorce and my daddy had passed away. A dear friend native American friend, and his family adopted me as a sister and took me up into the mountains of Colorado to enjoy springtime in the Rockies. We were near Fairplay Colorado in the lost creek wilderness. I saw my first mountain bluebirds...enjoyed a wonderful picnic. An Easter I will never forget. I was alive...I was seeing Colorado sunshine, blue spruce, elkhorn and quaking aspens, bluebirds, elk, deer and other wildlife knowing that all would be well again one day. If you’re struggling this Easter with personal or health issues, I’m praying for you
