It’s unacceptable for political figures to fuel harmful stereotypes about communities. When groups like @bristolgreen label our community as violent, it reinforces discrimination & emboldens those with existing prejudices & racists like Arron Banks.

This must be a wake up call to Government. It can no longer stand aside & argue LTNs are just a local issue. At 3am Bristol Council sent scores of police, a drone & security as back-up to its contractors to finish East Bristol LTN. Stopped by local women lying on the street. What next? Marvin Rees has had to declare his interests as he takes up his new role as unelected peer at the House of Lords. Ameresco is one of the clients of his company Three and Two Ltd. The American company also signed a 20 year partnership with Bristol City Council, valued at £12bn.
