This is a brilliant explainer of why there are no effective treatments for #ME and #LongCovid.

From @onelife_livedwell on IG: The PACE trial shaped an entire research paradigm, but the methodology tells a more complicated story. This is what happens when lived experience and research conclusions don’t align and why how we define things matters so much. #mecfs #pwme

Ultrafine particles are so small they enter the bloodstream & go everywhere. So dangerous. Wood stoves release them. Also UFPs can cause oxidative stress in skin & contribute to premature ageing & worsening of eczema. #AirPollution

@JillBelch Humans have been surviving smoke filled dwellings for a million years, In australia we have BIG bushfires that spread smoke over millions of sq kilometres including our major cities. Smoke is here to stay, adapt or get used to it.

The pollution comes from the burning of wet and unseasoned wood. The government brought a ban in but can’t be bothered to police it. They also made the sales of wet wood legal as long as they sold 2m3 or more. Don’t blame wood burners, blame the illegal sellers and the incompetent government.

@CharnwoodStoves @PatrickjaLee Great strawman argument you've made there. Nobody is saying the MODERN wood-burning stoves are causing 2,500 deaths. It's ALL wood burning. Distorting the facts again. Like you always do. @ChronicIllnessChannel/the-stove-industry-association-and-its-members-are-misleading-the-public-again-4dfed8300b87" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@ChronicIllnes

@CharnwoodStoves Charnwood don't actually support cleaner air, because they lie about the emissions data. There's no such thing as clean-burn. As shown in the recent ASA upheld complaint against the Stove Industry Association. asa.org.uk/rulings/stove-… @ChronicIllnessChannel/the-stove-industry-association-and-its-members-are-misleading-the-public-again-4dfed8300b87" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@ChronicIllnes

Have your say on the DEFRA Solid Fuel Consultation by Thurs 19 March. We support cleaner air & modern wood stoves (upto 90% lower PMs than old fires), but urge fair testing, realistic timelines & no barriers to clean-burn innovation or UK manufacturing consult.defra.gov.uk/domestic-burni…

@PatrickjaLee Yep. It's not “setting the record straight”. It is selective data, sales talk, and reputation management. Cleaner than an open fire does not mean clean. 1 of many lies is that domestic combustion emission reductions are due to modern stoves. Nope! @ChronicIllnessChannel/the-stove-industry-association-and-its-members-are-misleading-the-public-again-4dfed8300b87" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@ChronicIllnes

Almost everything in this article by Charnwood Stoves is incorrect. It's either intentionally designed to mislead people or it's just ignorant, but either way it's not true. That means people who sell these products are not being honest about how those products harm people.
Charnwood@CharnwoodStoves

When it comes to the wood burning debate it should be fair, balanced and respectful. Also rooted in common sense and based on accurate information. Misleading claims help no one charnwood.com/news/setting-t…

Wood burning produces 20% of the UK's most dangerous air pollution - comparable to road transport. Yet only 1% of households rely on it as their main heating. Today we submitted our response to Defra's consultation, which you can read here: heyzine.com/flip-book/4181…

We don’t have a shortage of resources. We have a distribution problem. Universal Basic Income isn’t just about poverty—it’s about giving all citizens a dividend on the collective progress of our society that's grown over generations. It’s time we all get a % share of the economy.

@willow_peck @pash22 @bmj_latest Stove Industry are still worse, because their lies downplay the health risks. Excessive noise isn't good, but it doesn't give you lung cancer. See recent ASA complaint that was upheld. asa.org.uk/rulings/stove-… I wrote this article. @ChronicIllnessChannel/the-stove-industry-association-and-its-members-are-misleading-the-public-again-4dfed8300b87" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@ChronicIllnes
