This is one of the reasons why video games cost so much to make now, and it doesn't need to be a reason.
Graphics peaked around 10 years ago, the majority of gamers would rather their game run 60fps with 10 year old graphics than 30fps with modern graphics. It's wasting money.

When GTA 5 Online came out it was SO GOOD. The grind wasn't horrific, there were no BS flying bikes or anything, a bog standard car wouldn't cost 4 or 5 mil, seriously why did they make a plain t-shirt like $200+?
They really had something with GTA Online, but greed ruined it.
