Sad to say I was among those laid off by @WSJ yesterday. It was a dream working with such smart, talented, and fearless journalists covering a state I love.

This industry - and the people who run it - can really break your heart. But the stories we get to tell and the history we get to witness and report is still a privilege.

An important update I’ve been wanting to share with our CA Capitol Community: With help from Gov. Newsom’s office and CA Legislative Leaders, journalists who cover the Capitol now have access to not one, but TWO safe and private workspaces. @CCACalifornia is so grateful for the help, and we look forward to continuing the conversation on securing a permanent space for reporters in the new Capitol Annex building.
