Bro, why do people on this app have to nitpick so hard? I’m not saying JSN didn’t train for it. Saying someone didn’t prioritize it doesn’t mean they never attempted it. I don’t prioritize doing the dishes, but they still get done. I can’t guarantee JSN ran 40-yard dashes less than he worked his route tree, but I can assume it by the way he runs most of his routes under 30 yards.

Last year’s Offensive Player of the Year didn’t run a 40-yard dash at the combine. He still got drafted in the first round and elite in the pros. Obviously it varies, some WRs rely on speed, others on technique. If you’re someone who relies heavily on speed, yeah, you probably train, but mostly with track coaches, not football coaches.

That’s why I put my effort into wrestling it was D1, but at the end of the day, my football coaches were more interested in routes and strength training than in training for a 40-yard time. Especially since most routes are less than 40 yards in high school

@wuzguchi714 @postulatesxd @tezah__ Yeah I totally get that football here was a year round training, number 1 in wins in the state with players going d1 for football almost every year, so yeah our coaches were training routes and strength, but to get ahead of other athletes you have to train more then others

Your coaches took time out of practice so you could run a 40-yard dash 😂. In high school, we ran a 40-yard time on the first day of summer camp and the last day. After that, we didn’t do it again until the next summer. Some teammates would mess around with it but it was just kids being kids
