There’s been several events down here, I get asked my background, I say AA and get the wildest expressions lol bc there is a real history of tension b/w AA & Haitians in S. 38 yr old Haitian-American Vice Mayor of Coral Springs, FL Nancy Metayer Bowen was tragically murdered.
Bowen was the 1st Black woman elected to her city’s commission focusing on community health and environmental equity into local governance.
She was shot by her husband.
