It’s surprisingly subjective because I would have thought it is unarguable that the football and performances have been better than under Amorim. Some disagree and that’s fine. It certainly feels much more stable now than it did in December.

Looks like the plan is to announce Michael Carrick as permanent manager today. Definitely a risk but there aren’t many great options available and at this point he’d earned a chance - it would also be a risk upsetting the stability which as we’ve seen is difficult to achieve.

Played in a two ball comp earlier. The two guys my partner and I were up against were a combined 17 and we were a combined 8 handicap. They won on 18 with a score over 9 shots better (so +8). Way too many cheating handicap protectors out there. Bloody pointless playing.

It's a strange and tough one with Carrick. On one hand, the job he's done results wise is brilliant. On the other, majority of performances haven't been particularly convincing bar a few. But he's also had no signings or pre season etc..A headscratcher.
