Rio Ferdinand on West Ham’s disallowed goal against Arsenal:
"I’ll tell you what, that VAR decision was absolutely shocking. Arsenal have been blocking and crowding goalkeepers from set-pieces all season, and nothing gets called".
"We even saw it at Old Trafford when Saliba backed into Bayindir and stopped him from making the save, yet the goal stood without any complaints".
"But now, in a huge title race game against West Ham, the same kind of contact suddenly becomes a foul on David Raya? It just doesn’t make sense".
"You start wondering what standards are actually being used anymore because the inconsistency is becoming embarrassing".

@CleansedTweets can't wait to book a business/first class seat from shenzhen to chongqing this summer. Should be around ~$300.
By plane is around $200-250 but saves me a lot of airport stress and at the end, by plane is around 60 minutes faster if you don't have checked in bags.

In China, if you travel business class on a train, the staff will take you from the lounge, through security, and plonk you in your seat 💕. I am travelling 250 miles today. My ticket cost around $70
I have the old business class seat today. They are around 15 years old. But on busier routes, business class seats are like self-enclosed pods with a door and TV, like you get in first class on planes.

🚨🎙️| Everton Manager David Moyes on Everton’s Performance tonight: 💣
🗣️ “I’ve always said Mikel is like a son to me, more than just a former captain, he’s a football son. And today, that result was for him. even though not the result we wanted, I feel gutted, to concede that late equalizer at that late in time, it hurts but we take it. I told the boys before we went out there that I would rather die dancing than see Manchester City walk away with three points at our expense. I did everything in my power for Mikel and the Gunners, I’ve done my part for Arsenal. Now my only hope is that they go on, finish the job, and lift that trophy. The league title belongs in his hands. He deserves it”

@TheEconomist @TheEconomist slandering China persistently for decades, but at what cost? at the cost of losing all its credibility and declining reader subscription? is it worth it?

There are 56 ethnicities in China—and 55 are getting squashed. A new law passed by the Chinese legislature is a grim milestone in the Communist Party’s harder-line approach to ethnic politics. Read how minority groups in China are increasingly being squeezed: econ.st/4mOeCl3

@hongw9i @MaitreyaBhakal 没这么少,一般家庭每个卧室都有,客厅也有。山东的三四线城市早就普及到这种程度了。要是家里房子多的话……

@MaitreyaBhakal According to the 2025 China Statistical Yearbook, the average Chinese household has 1.46 air conditioners, with urban areas at 171.7 units per 100 households and rural areas at 105.7.

As India braces itself for summer, and as 19 Indian cities boast of being featured in the top 20 hottest cities in the world - it's a good time to remember that only 10% of Indian households own ACs.
Guess how many Chinese households own ACs?
150%.
Yes, an average Chinese family, crushed under the boot of the dictatorial authoritarian totalitarian regime, owns more than one AC.
It's so over it's not even funny.
