I met with Mr. Peiman Seadat, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Japan. We shared the view that, in order to prevent any further loss of life and to address the situation surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, it is essential to pursue diplomatic negotiations to end the war. Such negotiations should be premised on a complete halt to attacks on Iran and firm guarantees against any renewed military action. Based on this shared understanding, I expressed my intention to urge the Japanese government to act accordingly.
