In our 7k+ word Weapon Sandbox preview, we missed changes coming to the Praxic Blade on June 9. We're getting this added to the article now.
PRAXIC BLADE
The point of these changes is to allow the Praxic Blade to still act as a primary weapon when paired with an actual primary weapon, but to reduce the surplus of special ammo so that it cannot be paired as easily with another special weapon.
- Slightly increase the time it takes to get ammo refunded when blocking
- Strongholds will no longer allow for infinite blocking with Special Ammo swords
--We've seen feedback that it felt bad to watch from your ghost as a team mate blocked for 3 minutes straight without reviving you or doing any damage to a given boss - sometimes we need you to go on the attack!
-Reduced ammo refunded by light attacks

Bloomberg reports Bungie is planning layoffs after ending Destiny 2 development.
- Destiny 3 is not in active development
- Bungie will focus on Marathon
- Bungie staff are pitching and prototyping new ideas including Destiny games, but none are greenlit yet

@kakihaumai0516 @teddynadanntyou Gacha pulls are nice, but depending where you are in the game, that 2k gems can be earned in a week or less.
Event unlocks in recollection are just far too rare otherwise and would take up to 20 events. I'm invested in the story of the game enough where I think it's a solid deal

Sony CFO Lin Tao says earnings from Bungie did not meet expectations, but player reception to Marathon has been strong and they will continue to support it!
“In our studio business, earnings from Bungie's title portfolio did not reach our expectations, so we downwardly revised our business plan and impaired the full amount of the fixed assets related to Bungie except for goodwill.
Player reception to Marathon is strong, with the game receiving a Metacritic score of 82 and more than 90% of the player reviews on Steam being positive. Engagement metrics such as retention also remain at a high level.
Going forward, we aim to improve the performance of the game by working to retain highly engaged core users through the introduction of additional content, further improvements in the gameplay experience and expansion of the user base.”

Arrowhead confirms new red stratagems, ship upgrades, and progression beyond level 150 are currently in development for Helldivers 2.
The studio says the goal is to introduce meaningful new options that support different playstyles, rather than simply adding more content for the sake of it.
More details will be shared closer to release.

Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5.0 Return of the Ancients "TLDR" - the last full league before 1.0, releasing May 29th, patch notes May 21st. Absolutely massive update
I'll try to keep this as information dense as possible
New league: Runes of Aldur
- Remnant encounters in every campaign area - place runes to craft items, runes also empower the monsters More slots = more waves, up to 8 rune recipes for rare crafts. New NPC Farrow's book tracks all combos
- Runic Ward - new resource that acts as an extra life pool, kicks in when you'd die. Every armor (including uniques) can be upgraded with it
- New Kalguuran skills - spend Runic Ward instead of mana, no color requirements, work on any class. There are Runic supports to
- Mystic Refuge in Act 3 unlocks reforging low-level uniques to endgame viable
- 100+ new runes, new alloys currency, meta runes that unlock new mod pools (Rune of Chronomancy = time mods on boots)
- Elemental conversion rune merges all elements on a weapon into one - massive single-element weapons incoming
- Rune to destroy rune sockets and turn them into jewel sockets
Expedition Reworked
- Now contains remnants for in-line crafting (???)
- Atlas south - ocean is now explorable ⛵️
- Logbooks send ships to islands, hop between expeditions, grand expeditions, new bosses
- New bosses: Medved, Uhtred (drops a meteor on your atlas, pinnacle boss inside)
Origins of Divinity - new endgame storyline
- Going to towers now spawns a giant precursor fortress
- Maps inside fortress have unique mechanics (essence-only rares, all packs as strongboxes, spirit chasing through the whole map, etc)
- Each map has precursor nodes giving Atlas passive points
- Pinnacle boss at center of fortress (Arbiter of Ash is no longer the pinnacle)
- Re-fighting pinnacles auto-completes unfinished fortress sections, awarding you with the atlas passives points that come with them
ATLAS TREE COMPLETELY REVAMPED
- You can now allocate the ENTIRE tree
- Many nodes are multi-choice
Masters of the Atlas - "ascendancy" for your atlas
- Jado (Order of the Jinn) and Hilda (monster hunter) - more to come
- Each gives you missions, points, distinctive playstyles
- Hot-swap between masters depending on what you're doing, one click on the side of the atlas screen
All 4 Early Access leagues got full questlines + mechanic reworks
- Each league has a fixed location on the atlas now with a clear progression path to the pinnacle - massive QoL for new players
Delirium - Hare & Raven
- Bar at the bottom shows delirium depth
- New mirror shard encounters - purple makes monsters juicier, red yoinks you into your mind for an amulet with 2 instilled notables
- Liquid emotions can now craft jewel mods - crit chance on Despair, movement speed/AOE on Suffering
- Eat the fruit, spread fog over the atlas, complete a simulacrum, shard for Tangmazu's realm
- New amulet notables only available thru deli emotions
Breach - Keepers of the Flame
- Visible timer on breaches
- Marshal of Xesht possible boss
- Hive blood + wombgifts feed the Genesis Tree
- Genesis Tree = huge crafting system. Branches for amulets, rings, belts, currency
- Rings get new mod pools - caster mods (extra ele dmg for spells, unleash seal rate) and minion mods
- Atlas: Hiveborn Domains with sky hives, breach hives, Tul + Esh as breach lords
Ritual - Rite of the Nameless
- ALL ritual rewards are now uniques or omens
- Rite of the Nameless = 5 maps in a row, each carrying forward all previous ritual monsters AND map bosses
-Final fight has 5+ map bosses simultaneously
- Pick adjacent maps for different reward tradeoffs (more tribute, currency instead of uniques, specific item drops)
New ascendancies
- Spirit Walker (Huntress) - Stag/Owl/Bear wisps, take all 3 unlocks Sacred Wisps for free. Can TAME BEAST BOSSES as your companion (silverfist monke, chimera, frozen owl, etc) - very cool
- Martial Artist (Monk) - 3 hollow techniques (illusions cast skills, manifest bells, resonance bell on crit). Runic tattoos act as extra runes on your helmet/body/gloves/boots slots. Stone Fist gloves transform glove mods into much more powerful versions
40 new uniques
- I'll just mention 1: Voices - jewel that adds 2/3/4 extra jewel slots :)
Quality of Life
- Campaign visual cues for next area
- Atlas search bar
- In-game build guide system - .build files community creators can publish, all gear/passives/skills/notes embedded with level ranges - HUGE W
- Ctrl+Alt click trade market price check built in - will search in the ingame tradesite
- Fragment stash tab with sub-tabs for everything fragment related
- Challenges for the first time in PoE 2
- Fate of the Vaal temple goes core - no details
- Patch notes 1 week before launch
0.5 is the last full league before 1.0, the full release of Path of Exile 2, planned for later this year, sometime after Exilecon (which is on Nov 7.). They are planning some small event-like mini leagues in a few months.
Honestly absurd amount of content. Kinda got stunlocked yesterday by so much stuff. Endgame is getting some much needed streamlining (basically mini-campaigns for each mechanic) which will help with giving people a sense of progression and goals to work towards.
I also see HUGE potential for endleague projects with all this crazy new crafting tech / boss taming etc. but let's not get ahead of ourselves :D

Dude, being disappointed with one thing doesn't make the whole series bad. Be real. Was disappointed with Rebirth not having materia loadouts & underutilizing Zack. Did it make me hate the game? Hell no. Shit was amazing. Your favorite things do not have to be perfect. OG FFVII isn't either.

@teddynadanntyou @kakihaumai0516 IF you actually enjoy playing this game for it's story, it's not a trap at all. That's 20 events you can play when otherwise it would take 20 entire events to get that many with there being usually only 1 available to buy.
