Karl Urban's resume shouldn't be real. Lord of the Rings. Star Trek. Star Wars. Marvel. He's the only living actor who's appeared in all four of the biggest sci-fi franchises in cinema history. Combined box office north of $5 billion. In Ragnarok he shaved his head, gained 20 pounds of bulk, and played a coward who dies holding twin assault rifles named "Des" and "Troy." In The Boys he spent five seasons as the most compelling antihero on television, and the final episode aired six days ago. In between those two roles he starred in Dredd. The entire film. Never removed the helmet. The audience never saw his eyes. Most actors at his level would have demanded the reveal. Urban kept it on because that's what the character required. He started on Xena: Warrior Princess in New Zealand. Taika Waititi called him for Ragnarok and said he'd be working with Cate Blanchett. Urban's response: "Sign me up. I don't need to read anything." $20 million net worth across a career where he's never been the lead franchise face. Always the second or third name on the poster. Always in a different body. The Kiwi character actor who quietly assembled the most impossible filmography in Hollywood and nobody talks about it because he disappears into every role. That's the whole trick. You can't recognize him because he's actually acting.

We seriously lack a sense of aesthetics and nowhere is it more evident that in our government projects. Inspiration can be taken from from Darbhanga House or Sultan Palace. Or just add design elements from rural Bihar. The most they would do is a mural of Madhubani painting.
With Love Bihar@WithLoveBihar

This is the new Malahi Pakri metro station in Patna Why do every other new project in Bihar appear old? Is it the old designs (compare it with Mumbai metro) or is it the lack of quality finish or is it the civic sense ? PS: This resembles old Delhi metro stations constructed before 2008

Logical arguments without word salad?! Come on! That's an unfair game you are playing with them.

Mughals are good because after coming and taking over India, they stayed in India. ✅ Jews are good because after coming and taking over Palestine, they stayed in Palestine. ❌ Mughals are good because they adopted India as their motherland and buit lot of good stuff and made India rich, despite upsetting the demography of India. ✅ Jews are good because they consider Israel as their holy land and built lot of good stuff and made Palestine rich, despite upsetting the demography of Palestine ❌. Mughals did not commit genocide because Hindus are still there. ✅ Israeli Jews have not been committing genocide because the population of Arabs has only been exploding in Gaza and the West Bank. ❌ Muslim rulers enforced jizya on Hindus for centuries but that is okay and was a process of empire building. ✅ Israel’s security checkpoints or barriers to stop suicide bombings are a process of their nation building.❌ Mughals destroyed thousands of temples and built mosques on many sites, this is just "political necessity” and a process of settling political scores and even some Hindu kings did that.✅ Jewish construction in disputed areas of the West Bank is just "political necessity" and just a process of settling political scores and even some Muslim rulers did that. ❌ Mughals had Hindu wives who had full religious freedom and had many Hindu generals. ✅ Israelis give Arabs full citizenship rights including voting and Arabs even form a part of administration. ❌ No decent historian of the early modern world should have anything to gain from the heroes vs villains, wrt Mughal history. To be stuck in this framework is to not think like a historian. The Mughals matter bcz of the world they built and its relevance today, not their excesses! ✅ No decent historian of the modern world should have anything to gain from the heroes vs villains, wrt the history of Israel-Palestine conflict. Chinese figured out something Indians haven't: first build fighters with whatever unreliable engines, manufacture engines and its components at a larger scale, and keep replacing the engines/components as needed, incorporate improvements along the lifecycle. Indians sought a turnkey reliable engine and set themselves unreal standards, only to end up with an unreliable supplier for a reliable engine. Unreliable engines from reliable suppliers beat reliable engines from unreliable suppliers.
Gaurab Chakrabarti@Gaurab

Over 300 Chinese J-20 stealth fighters have been built at roughly $110 million each. Not one carries a turbine blade that matches the service life of its Western equivalent. The WS-15 reached serial production on the J-20A in December 2025. Its high-pressure turbine runs on a third-generation Chinese single-crystal superalloy, rated about 30 degrees Celsius hotter than the second generation. The chemistry works. Casting yield at production scale does not. Chinese foundries scrap two of every three blades they cast. Western foundries scrap one in twenty. Chinese military engines improved from a few hundred hours between overhauls to roughly 1,500 with better blades. Western equivalents run roughly twice as long between overhauls and several times longer in total service life. Western foundries target sulfur below 1 part per million. Best practice runs below 0.3. At that purity, the coating survives thousands of hours in gas streams hotter than the alloy's melting point. A few extra parts per million and the coating peels, the blade oxidizes, and the engine fails prematurely.

The city of Rome was built in 753. The city of Pataliputra was built in 490. When the Greeks reached the Indian capital. The sheer scale of the walls broke their minds. The city stretched for 9 miles straight. 570 Watchtowers. 64 Heavy Gates. Buried, You do not belong to a "Developing Nation". You are the heir to the greatest.

The enormity of this cannot be understated - Chandragupta 1 - 16 years - Samudragupta 2 - 40 years - Chandragupta 2 - 40 years - Kumaragupta 1 - 40 years - Budhagupta - 20 years - Skandagupta - 13 years - Narasimhagupta Baladitya - 35 years The relatively shorter stints of Chandragupta 1 and Skandagupta hide the enormity of their impact. No other Hindu dynasty ever boasted of such stability over decades. There is an important lesson for contemporary reality here. Hope we are learning.

The genealogy of Imperial Guptas, as per their inscriptions. Total 11 emperors' ( Maharajadhiraja) in 241 years ( 319-550 AD). Longest rule is of Kumargupta-I ( 41 years). Shortest rule of Kumargupta-II (3 years). The 'Golden Age' of India. आर्य साम्राज्य की जय! 🙌
