A massive hotel chain like @premierinn not having usb plugs in 2024 is actually crazy. What’s the cost to retrofit a whole building a couple grand?

Best website to start a blog? Going to journal my mental health adventures to try and help others and for self reflection. Tonight, I’ve self diagnosed anxious attachment disorder and I can’t tell you how great it feels to find words for what I’ve been struggling with for so long! Something that describes me AND doesn’t blame me for being that way, feels good. Sadly this was due to domestic violence as a child to 17 in my house AS WELL AS being bullied at school at the same time, no escape from negativity. Mum was my only safety and she had to work as my father couldn’t due to his disability, I certainly don’t blame anyone but this is an answer as to why I am the way I am I guess… it’s very deep rooted but hey, where there’s a will there WILL be a way for me to overcome this and learn to process ALL relationships in a healthier way. Paws crossed. I’ve also read up about the “as if” method which seems to be what I’m doing accidentally, very useful while I wait for ACTUAL help. Haven’t heard from anyone from hospital yet but now have Covid, damn.

@JBuckleyLabour Surely they can break it down into smaller categories of spend too. Lumping it all together as “social care” isn’t helpful when scrutinising a budget. If 80% of the money is going there. It needs breaking down into subcategories so we can question it further.

@carbdiem I remember being 25 and having to live no life, push myself to the extreme with savings for years and still only being able to afford the most run down and cheapest house in a fairly rough area. I think even if young people did that today, they’d have no hope.

@MartinSLewis My tip would be to remember that homeowner mortgages have doubled in some cases too. So you’re not being individually targeted because you’re a tenant. Life in the UK is hard now for everyone, mainly due to housing costs. Vote better. Demand more social housing.

@pwcwright @ShropshireStar If only “some businesses” are having this problem, isn’t it the fault of those businesses. Maybe they’re shit jobs, low paid, no benefits, no progression, high expectations and bad management? We can’t extrapolate some businesses being bad to “all young people are lazy”.
