The United States is not a democracy. It’s a republic… technically a constitutional republic. But we’ve long since stopped being either for a while now. Corporations have been running our country for over 20 years now. We are closer to a plutocratic or oligarchic corporatocracy than we are a republic. Corporations get our officials elected and they basically write our laws for us. If we want change, we have to remove the lobbyists and create a non biased influence from corporations. This includes big pharma, big food, defense, etc. They put profit above people. Until that happens, the candidates elected will likely serve the same people. Here are some of your current overloads: Blackrock, Pfizer, Vanguard, Statestreet, Monsanto, Northrup-Grumman, Raytheon, Palantir, Disney, Time Warner, Nestle, Boeing, Exxon.
