Speculative behavior like we have seen lately might seem bearish at a first glance but the truth is this: On every timeframe from 3m, 6m to 1y, this type of behavior leads to a 50-100% outperformance versus normal conditions. Euphoria leads to more euphoria, it is only when the music stops playing that the returns turn for the worse. Indeed after 1y, and more specifically looking at the 2 and 3y returns, the performance drops drastically as the excess retraces and the returns are cut by up to 75%+ compared to healthy periods. It takes time to burst a bubble.

$META with earnings next week should resolve this pattern... the question is which way?

I don't mean this in a disrespectful way. The original trader to push this has success far far greater than me, but I still just disagree with the: capital preservation Friday. We have so many Friday's each year, it seems crazy to change your process/mindset for the sake of trying to preserve capital and mental capital into the weekend. Shouldn't we just always be aiming to preserve our capital? I did myself try this shift for months, and for me personally it caused other issues, such as being too passive on Friday's and then missing solid trades which caused more of a blow to my mental capital than just taking valid losses into the weekend. I just don't see the point in isolating Friday's and making specific changes unless the data suggest we should make a change. Open to discuss this, nothings set in stone for me.
