She would have been arrested, restrained, and brought before a court. The officer would have had the protection of the law. Instead, she was killed. That is not justice. They show a near zero valuation of human life and instead aggressively glorify blind obedience to “law and order.” The underlying message is clear: comply perfectly or die.
