@Experian Q10: Any final tips on raising money-smart kids? Your kids are watching you. Don’t expect them to do better than you if you do not set a good example. Share your logic and reasoning behind financial decisions. #creditchat

@Experian A6: As soon as you have the feeling they ‘get it’ - and then do not trust them with it. Use a pre-paid card or famzoo.com to have full control over the account. #creditchat

@Experian A4: First, we let them set the goal based on what they ‘want’. Then, have a chat with them about what they ‘need’ and are they willing to allocate funds toward that goal. Kids then set goals for things they really need and that it will take time to reach it. #creditchat

@Experian @Bankaroo of course… :-) Seriously, there are many great websites for parents, and we believe that practice is better than reading in this case. Empowering the kids, on a daily basis, to make financial decisions and own them, is the key for long term money-smart kids.#creditchat

@Experian Introduce the concept of money as soon as the kid has the concepts of numbers, more vs less and can read/write/type numbers. It will allow the kid to develop an association between value, objects/products, and money. #CreditChat
