It is rare to see real courage in Hollywood, but last night, Sergey Brin and Gerelyn Gilbert-Soto showed up with class and conviction. While most stay silent or chase trends, they stood with the Iranian people and their brave fight for freedom. In an industry where supporting Iranians is not trendy and invites backlash, they chose humanity over popularity. Two of the only decent hearts in the room at the Met Gala. Sergey and Gerelyn, thank you. From the bottom of our hearts. Your solidarity means more than you will ever know. The Iranian people will never forget those who stood with them.
