I could use some help. My kids (middle/high school) are already thinking about college and life after graduation. Looking 5–10 years out, it’s hard to find a path that doesn’t look like AI could replace it. If you were them, what would you study or do after high school?

I own a small bakery. Business has been slow. Rent is up. I was thinking about closing. Last Friday, a teenager came in. He looked nervous. He counted out change for a cookie. He was short 50 cents. "It's okay," I said. "Take it." He ate it at a table, looking at his math homework. He looked stuck. I used to be a math tutor. I walked over. "Quadratic equations?" He nodded. "I don't get it." I sat down and helped him for 20 minutes. He got it. He left smiling. The next day, he came back with two friends. They bought cookies. The day after that, five kids came. Apparently, he told the school, "The lady at the bakery helps with homework." Now, my bakery is the after-school hang-out spot. It's loud. It's messy. There are backpacks everywhere. Yesterday, I found a note in the tip jar. It was wrapped around a $20 bill. "Thanks for helping my son pass math. A Mom." I'm not closing the bakery. I think I finally found my purpose. It's not cookies. It's community.

Wanted to share a quick update:  After meeting with my care team, I have transitioned to hospice to focus on rest, comfort, and time with my family. I’m at peace, grateful for the incredible life God has given me. Thank you for your love & prayers. Love always!❤️ #KeepSwinging✌️

@MAGAdino Making your health and family a top priority is the first step, and you accomplished that by making the decision of sobriety. You should be so proud! I have no claim to have experienced this, but I think we all have our own vices, which are never easy to overcome. You got this!💪

Overly personal post incoming… This is hard to admit. I’m an alcoholic. I drink way too much most days. Once I start, I don’t stop. I’ve been hiding it from friends/family for too long. Enough is enough. Today is my first day of complete sobriety. I’m announcing it here to hold myself accountable, and maybe get some support from this X fam. Being sober is like taking the throttle off your mental health. Improving one’s own internal algorithm. I need that a lot right now. God, please help me keep up the motivation.

Struggling to not cry while writing this. Sadly, our 10 year old Golden Retriever, Winston, has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer. It is not survivable. I got Winston at the lowest point in my life, and in so many ways, he saved me. I was an alcoholic, single, so so depressed. I was a bitter, angry, selfish person. ...and I knew it So upon recommendation of a friend, I got Winston. And he changed my fucking life. I learned structure. I learned how to talk to strangers. I went outside every day on runs and walks. He gave me the discipline to wake up early. He gave me a reason to not stay out late. I learned that doing the right thing daily is what changes you, slowly. And because Winston needed me, I started becoming someone worth needing. But then, he didn't just become my dog. He became my wife's dog. My kid's dog. And he loved them with the passion of a thousand fiery suns. And I don’t think I’ll ever be able to explain what it means to watch a dog learn to love your kids as much as you do. He's the greeter. He's my shadow. A peacekeeper. The one constant, no matter what kind of day we’ve had. I'm gonna miss you so much.
