@DSPetolicchio Anglican, here, and a priest. Reach out if you need to talk!

I've thought about becoming a Roman Catholic for about a year or so now.
Some have suggested Anglican as I'm still opposed to the papacy and the necessity to pray through saints.
I also don't buy that you have to be Catholic or Orthodox, specifically, in order to be saved.
I think the core elements of Christianity are extremely simple.
Not easy, but simple.
I've been a Christian virtually all my life, but as I've aged, I've learned that most people add extra baggage onto their faith in order to seemingly keep themselves busy.

@PresbyInn So...they worked much like Anglican episcopal structures today.
English

Kathleen Hughes, from The Church church in Early Irish Society.
Bishops existed in the early Irish Church, but very likely played little part in the life of the church. They seemed rather to function as kind of notary public, who gave legal and ecclesiastical approval to the existence of any given Christian Society in the Celtic lands, and linking them formally to the rest of Christendom. It was to prevent someone from simply claiming they were Christian while not having any legitimate claim to it. It was not a system of diocesan episcopacy in the way we know it today.
The presbyter-abbots, who are recorded by Bede, were responsible for the administration, teaching, and discipline of the church. Bede goes farther than Hughes, suggesting that the bishops were under the abbots.
As noted here, the Abbott could continue to govern the affairs of the church even if the bishop was dead and a successor had not been named.
What this suggests is a collegiality that existed in the Celtic lands between the bishop and the Abbott, with the Irish wanting to maintain a priority on the rule of the Abbott, and with Roman sympathizers attempting to reform the Celtic churches toward a monarchical structure similar to that of the churches in Europe.

@Ka1s3rE Amen! St Paul desired their salvation in Romans 9-11.

@malachi_wolcott @JoelWebbon He's basically Mahler at this point, only slightly more charismatic (not a difficult accomplishment, mind you).
English

@JoelWebbon I thought this was a Corey Mahler post at first

@Kryptotajeer @ApostateProphet Who...has she debated, exactly? She hardly debates at all. I don't think she's debated anyone since she was fired from The Daily Wire.
English

Hey AR
Candace has made it clear, multiple times that she’s open to serious debates on topics like Israel and free speech. She even called out Ben Shapiro directly for avoiding those conversations.
But coming in months later with “expose her fraud” especially after a run of insults and mockery, doesn’t really come across as a genuine debate offer. It feels more like attention seeking. If the intention is serious, then the drop the insults, define a clear topic n suggest a neutral moderator or platform, and engage directly. No need for theatrics or fan pile ons.
She’s debated bigger names without hesitation, so naturally the bar for her time is higher than recycled call outs. If you serious show it properly otherwise, it just looks like taking shots from the sidelines.

What's so sad about this video is that it apparently never came to his mind that we should, uh, stop trying to have the music as loud as possible. We've never had complaints about how loud the organ is (or how soft it is, for that matter).

@ttvatreuz Leon is still my favourite character, but I do love Ethan Winters. I really hope he comes back, despite the ending of Village.

@ttvatreuz Is the family member a nephew/niece? If so, I would. I gave mine to my nephews and nieces.

@imstillrich_eth When...did I mention "multiple minds", exactly?
English

@BarelyProt “Prot minds” I didn’t know you have multiple minds. This is one example of one Prot, there are tens of thousands more.
