I had a bit of a moment with this Hans Memling this morning. Partly because of the pathos of the look and the hand on the picture frame. But also because you can get *extraordinarily* close to the pictures at the Accademia. And the background is so beautiful…

@AileenWeintraub When we went to the dentist in Thailand, they were apologetic about charging us $12 for full mouth x-rays.

Got all dressed up for a nice dinner and instead spent the eve in the ER in Spain with my kid who is fine now but the point is they gave me a list of meds and told me it would be expensive and I asked how much and they said between 2 & 10 Euros each and I laughed and laughed
