Punch-kun, when you actually see him, he's about a size smaller than the other baby monkeys and has a darker color. He was running around energetically and playing, and sometimes he'd lean against the adult monkeys while cautiously watching his surroundings. I didn't feel sorry for him; instead, I thought he seemed tough and resilient. But seeing him like this, you can't help but want to root for him. 2026. 3.11

Remember Punch, the baby monkey who melted hearts around the world? He went viral on the internet and became a tourist attraction because of his sad story. He was rejected by his mum and pushed away by other monkeys so he clung to his toy orangutan instead. But he’s growing up pretty fast, integrating better in the zoo and he might even be ready to give up his comfort plushie.
