Things are heating up in Zambian politics. Don't fool yourself into thinking that supporting a particular candidate will bring about change once they enter Parliament. They are not there for the people but for themselves and their families. The money they spend on campaigning is an investment in their own futures. Stop wasting your energy fighting over them.

This is the president of South Sudan in East Africa. His name is Salva Kiir Mayardit. The future of that country rests on this man’s shoulders. I hope you now understand why many African countries have become basket cases. Future generations will wonder what went wrong with our continent to allow this kind of leadership crisis and institutional decay to take root and persist for so long.

@Ojoye_Tosin @Shadaya_Knight I have travelled to different countries in Europe, and what you have said about status is so true. I have seen it especially in Ukraine, Crimea, and Eastern Europe. I think it has everything to do with poverty.

I think the deeper issue here isn’t race, it’s perception. In many societies, foreign equals status. Add social media validation and it becomes even more amplified. That dynamic exists globally, not just in Africa. The real question is why proximity to certain identities still feels like social currency. That’s worth unpacking more than blaming one gender.
