@acaseofthegolf1 @GrowTheGolfGame @OWGRltd They did such an awesome job keeping it quiet that I have never heard of Ryan Ang, yet I watch all local golf down here and work in industry. I love that players both contact and respond to you. Your reach and impact are very real.

How getting caught cheating actually HELPED a players career, and why, in my opinion, all tours under the @OWGRltd should honor suspensions from from any other owgr tour: I’ve been working on a story about how Tours across the world handle cheating for over a year (The full story is still a work in progress but one of the incidents is very relevant this week) It all started in February of 2025, when Ryan Ang was DQ’d from a Webex Players Series Mixed event. According to multiple people I spoke with a player in Ang’s group saw him drop a ball out of his pocket on the 17th hole, claiming it was his original ball. The player told officials in scoring and the official allegedly went out to the 17th and found his original ball. I messaged with Ang after the incident and although he didn’t directly admit it, he said he made “a bad mistake”. He was suspended from the Aussie Tour, but the Tour went to great lengths to keep the incident out of the press and on the DL as much as possible. According to the players I spoke with, that included calling a player meeting and encouraging them to not speak about it. (I’ve learned in my reporting that this is sadly not uncommon on major tours across the world and is the main point of the full story I’ve been working on) A little over a month later Ang played on the Asian Dev Tour, I assume they knew nothing of the incident in Australia. Then Ang, from Singapore played a full schedule on the China Tour. (Again, assuming they knew nothing of the incident in Aussie) And played well, making 12 of 15 cuts including 4 top 10s. The DQ and subsequent suspension had basically no effect on his career, in fact in ended up helping him get into a DP event. Ang likely would have likely never played the China Tour last season had he not been suspended from the Aussie Tour, but did after his suspension. This week Ryan Ang is playing on the DP World Tour, based on his Order of Merit finish last season on the China Tour, again something that likely wouldn’t have been possible if he had played the full season in Aussie. The length of his suspension in Aussie is unknown, however he was listed in a field earlier this year (he didn’t play) so I assume it’s over. He opened with an even par round today on DP and is right on the cut line.

Finally, someone has embraced the One Job concept (thanks @strosh33 - previously Baronssomes). Each player has one job. Group of 8. Format made for TV. Awesome. #5yearsinthemaking

🚨🆚⛳️ #NEW — Bryson DeChambeau floats idea of potential 4v4 made for TV match between The Crushers and TGL’s Jupiter Links GC. “…but imagine a scenario where we're going up against Jupiter Links on an 18-hole showcase, four man/four man, going up against each other Netflix show or something, or whoever wants to put on a show.” Would you tune in for this? @BrysonLegion | @TWlegion

This needs to stop, it's a bunch of grown men having dinner before a golf tournament and half the room orders the steak anyway.
PGA TOUR@PGATOUR

Rory McIlroy explains why he made each selection for his 2026 Masters Champions Dinner menu: 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 & 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗮 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 “I wanted to try to bring a little bit of the local ingredients in. So I'm doing a Georgia peach and ricotta flatbread with hot honey. So hopefully that will go down well with the drinks.” 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗽 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗮 “I think everyone likes rock shrimp tempura, so sort of a crowd pleaser with that one.” 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 “My mum does these really, really nice dates stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in bacon … Thanks to Rosie for that one.” 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗸 𝗦𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 “In the buildup to the Masters last year, I was eating a lot of elk ... I didn't want elk to be the main course because I didn't know if everyone would like that … So I'm doing grilled elk sliders which I think is fun.” 𝗬𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗳𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗼 “My wife, Erica and I, our favorite restaurant, or one of our favorite right now is in New York. It's called Le Bernardin. Eric Ripert is the chef there, and this is a dish from that restaurant. It's a yellowfin tuna carpaccio. It's a really thin slice of French baguette with a really thin slight of foie gras on top of that … So that's a fun one that the club worked with me on as well. They went up to the restaurant and worked with the chefs, and made sure; that they obviously wanted to get it right for the night, so that's really cool.” 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝘆𝘂 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻 “It's an amazing honor to be able to host it, but at the same time, I want everyone to enjoy it. I went for two different options for the main course, a wagyu filet mignon for people that want red meat, or a fillet of seared salmon; so depending on what you want.” 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 “When I was a kid, I used to eat (Irish) champ by the bowlful … Some sauteed brussels sprouts. Glazed carrots with brown butter. And then trying to bring a little bit of that local flavor back in, some crispy Vidalia onion rings. Vidalia is not too far away from Augusta, about a two, two-and-a-half-hour drive.” 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 “I think very much a crowd-pleaser, sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream on warm toffee sauce.” 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 "My favorite part of the menu is you obviously get access to the wonderful wine cellar at Augusta National. We're starting off with a 2015 Salon Brut champagne. And then followed by a 2022. Domaine Leflaive Batard Montrachet. It's the first-ever white wine that I actually liked ... And then for the red wine we're receiving a 1990 Chateau Lafite Rothschild from Pauillac in Bordeaux. That is the wine that I drank the night that I won the Masters, so obviously brings back some great memories. Shane Lowry had a little bit to do with getting that wine, so I want to shout him out for that, too ... To finish off, we're going with a 1989 Chateau D'Yquem dessert wine from Sauternes in Bordeaux, as well. Obviously '89, my birth year, and I think every great meal deserved to be finished off with Chateau D'Yquem. It is like liquid gold. I wanted to be really intentional with the wines. It's something that I'm really into and passionate about and started to collect wine, probably over the past decade."

@Top100Rick Imagine if betting was allowed on something that could be so easily manipulated. As if betting on as self-governing game isn't bad enough.

2 big tech things TGL needs to work on for next season. Coming from a fan. 1. The response delay. 4 seconds from screen impact to result is insane. 2. The hole outs. Something is off. Too many hole outs undermines confidence in the entire system.

@MLB is missing an opportunity with Cameron Young, IMO. Could easily do a regional team apparel play, similar to what the NFL did with Payne Stewart back in the day. Even if it was subtle logos… styling cues…. It’d be easy. He’s also so stoic - it’d give him a bit of flair. Glad to see him take home @THEPLAYERS 🇺🇸

How far behind does a group need to be to be penalised for slow play? 2 holes in a small field seems like a lot. @livgolf_league.

Andrew Dillon Radio Interviews Today 2. @1116sen Q: “Are you comfortable with there being no mention to the Jewish community at all, that is clearly there to pay tribute to the Bondi victims?” A: “The events at Bondi were an antisemitic attack on the Jewish community etc etc” Q: “Was it an error to change the script though?” A: “I don’t know the ins & outs of scripts”

@livgolf_league needs to make the Wildcards a team. The comment mentioned in the telecast from Richard Lee as "feeling lonely" is very telling in a team-focused environment. Doesn't seem right.

@jarodhitchcock Wonder if these are his favourite Slazenger irons (forged in Lithgow, NSW) - “One day, during a streak when I wasn’t playing well, I drilled holes in them to take some weight out – and ruined them. I still have them and when I look at them, I could cry.”
