@Irish_On_Tour @SouthernGuards @Louis57TM @livgolf_league @InvestecSAOpen @GaytonMcK Or, like we dream of in Oz, imagine having them back-to-back with investment. Different vibes. Elite golf. Clearly, a gap has been left in at least 2 markets that LIV is waltzing right through.

@SouthernGuards @Louis57TM @livgolf_league Imagine if the @InvestecSAOpen got a fraction of this investment. @GaytonMcK didn't even seem to know his national open was taking place 3 weeks ago.

@acaseofthegolf1 @GrowTheGolfGame @OWGRltd They did such an awesome job keeping it quiet that I have never heard of Ryan Ang, yet I watch all local golf down here and work in industry. I love that players both contact and respond to you. Your reach and impact are very real.

How getting caught cheating actually HELPED a players career, and why, in my opinion, all tours under the @OWGRltd should honor suspensions from from any other owgr tour:
I’ve been working on a story about how Tours across the world handle cheating for over a year
(The full story is still a work in progress but one of the incidents is very relevant this week)
It all started in February of 2025, when Ryan Ang was DQ’d from a Webex Players Series Mixed event.
According to multiple people I spoke with a player in Ang’s group saw him drop a ball out of his pocket on the 17th hole, claiming it was his original ball.
The player told officials in scoring and the official allegedly went out to the 17th and found his original ball.
I messaged with Ang after the incident and although he didn’t directly admit it, he said he made “a bad mistake”.
He was suspended from the Aussie Tour, but the Tour went to great lengths to keep the incident out of the press and on the DL as much as possible. According to the players I spoke with, that included calling a player meeting and encouraging them to not speak about it.
(I’ve learned in my reporting that this is sadly not uncommon on major tours across the world and is the main point of the full story I’ve been working on)
A little over a month later Ang played on the Asian Dev Tour, I assume they knew nothing of the incident in Australia.
Then Ang, from Singapore played a full schedule on the China Tour. (Again, assuming they knew nothing of the incident in Aussie) And played well, making 12 of 15 cuts including 4 top 10s.
The DQ and subsequent suspension had basically no effect on his career, in fact in ended up helping him get into a DP event.
Ang likely would have likely never played the China Tour last season had he not been suspended from the Aussie Tour, but did after his suspension.
This week Ryan Ang is playing on the DP World Tour, based on his Order of Merit finish last season on the China Tour, again something that likely wouldn’t have been possible if he had played the full season in Aussie.
The length of his suspension in Aussie is unknown, however he was listed in a field earlier this year (he didn’t play) so I assume it’s over.
He opened with an even par round today on DP and is right on the cut line.

@shaggs23 @ko_fights__ Should’ve knocked the little pricks head off 🤬🤬

Finally, someone has embraced the One Job concept (thanks @strosh33 - previously Baronssomes). Each player has one job. Group of 8. Format made for TV. Awesome. #5yearsinthemaking

🚨🆚⛳️ #NEW — Bryson DeChambeau floats idea of potential 4v4 made for TV match between The Crushers and TGL’s Jupiter Links GC. “…but imagine a scenario where we're going up against Jupiter Links on an 18-hole showcase, four man/four man, going up against each other Netflix show or something, or whoever wants to put on a show.” Would you tune in for this? @BrysonLegion | @TWlegion

@Top100Rick Imagine if betting was allowed on something that could be so easily manipulated. As if betting on as self-governing game isn't bad enough.
English

@JacintaAllanMP @dylanwightlabor This should stop the under 18’s carjacking innocent people also….
😬

@KipHenley He's brilliant, this lad. More I see and hear him, the more I like him. The hugs for Young and his folks said everything.

I hope if you boo’d this kid today you get to see this interview. I hope you sleep like shit tonight and get the shanks for 2 months. #BeBetter

Matt Fitzpatrick on the crowd down the stretch. "That was literally child's play compared to Bethpage. If they think that that was anything, then they need to reassess. Get yourself up to New York."

@minombrejonas @MLB And put him in the Home Run derby on All Star Weekend.
English

@MLB is missing an opportunity with Cameron Young, IMO.
Could easily do a regional team apparel play, similar to what the NFL did with Payne Stewart back in the day.
Even if it was subtle logos… styling cues…. It’d be easy.
He’s also so stoic - it’d give him a bit of flair.
Glad to see him take home @THEPLAYERS 🇺🇸

@BaronPhilbert @livgolf_league Crowd is probably holding them up

How far behind does a group need to be to be penalised for slow play? 2 holes in a small field seems like a lot. @livgolf_league.

Andrew Dillon Radio Interviews Today
2. @1116sen
Q: “Are you comfortable with there being no mention to the Jewish community at all, that is clearly there to pay tribute to the Bondi victims?”
A: “The events at Bondi were an antisemitic attack on the Jewish community etc etc”
Q: “Was it an error to change the script though?”
A: “I don’t know the ins & outs of scripts”

@livgolf_league needs to make the Wildcards a team. The comment mentioned in the telecast from Richard Lee as "feeling lonely" is very telling in a team-focused environment. Doesn't seem right.

@jarodhitchcock Wonder if these are his favourite Slazenger irons (forged in Lithgow, NSW) - “One day, during a streak when I wasn’t playing well, I drilled holes in them to take some weight out – and ruined them. I still have them and when I look at them, I could cry.”
English

@jarodhitchcock Some sand clearly got in the caddie's eyes. Poor kid. Never stood a chance.
English

@minombrejonas @retrogamei I can still hear the music. The best.
English

@retrogamei Possibly the game that really made me into computers.
This was unreal to an 11 year old. Had to ask my dad how to run DOS to make sure I could learn to load it when he wasn’t around to help.
English

@MattVincenziPGA I may have missed it, sorry, but what was the key bounce adjustment he made for the "soft conditions"?
