@Andr_530 @GlockomaDFS @SuaveCEO_ Give me the stat, I can’t find it outside of ChatGPT which is saying SGA gets more doubles slightly but if you have the actual stats I’d love to see them

@DemasceionB @GlockomaDFS @SuaveCEO_ Who has significantly more shots than Shai and still barely has more points 😂. And no one cares about pra, buddy is a glorified Russell Westbrook with all those turnovers

@HisandHerLakers Can we please stop treating hypotheticals as reality. You just THINK okc would be top 6 without Shai.

MVP literally means most valuable player. OKC without SGA would still be top 6 team. Lakers without Luka would be a play in team at best. Idk how you can make the argument SGA is more valuable to his team. I understand you want to reward winning but the NBA has lost the plot here

@alasejebi74518 @gtechtn @getnickwright What’s your definition of carrying? So what Thunder are a 7-8 seed without SGA but SGA makes them a champion. Lakers would be what a 9-10 seed without Luka but a 3 seed with him. What’s the difference really? Both carrying their teams way above what they are capable.

@Barphalemew @gtechtn @getnickwright Nobody is denying his greatness...he's that guy and he's probably 2 peating but he's not carrying ntn..he's got an op team..as I said still a decent playoff team without him

With 4 weeks left... Here's where I think the NBA MVP race sits: 1- SGA 2- Luka 3- Wemby 4- Jokic 5- Cade Luka vs Wemby is thisclose and could flip multiple times over last month. But SGA is going to (and deserves to) win, and Luka has clearly played his way into the Top 3.

@gtechtn @getnickwright SGA is historically efficient, carrying okc to the one seed with the most injured team this season, he leads the league in clutch points by a wide margin, he’s been incredible defensively, he leads the league in plus/minus, and he has WAY less turnovers than Luka

@getnickwright I don’t really see the argument for SGA over Luka besides he’s on the better team. And the Lakers are good enough to where that should be a wash, imo. Luka does more offensively and is probably playing better D than him this year as well.

@CoolHandMe33 @getnickwright ok you wanna HEAR SOME FACTS ? .. SGA has the highest plus minus in the ENTIRE LEAGUE ! .. luka leads the league in turnovers ! .. SGA HAS HIGHER EFFICIENCY from LITERALLY EVERY FUCKING PART OF THE FLOOR. SGA is missing his 2nd best player AND his team is in first!

@tminnzy @getnickwright The funny thing is you’re right about this but casuals won’t do two seconds of research to see okc is the most injured team in the league this season and Shai has had to win games with literally no offensive help whatsoever

@Barphalemew @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli Nope. It’s supposed to be a tournament with the best teams. Metrics measure those teams. The committee betrayed the sport by superimposing nonsense over that process.

@DosHatGato @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli But that’s the point. You’ve just decided who you THINK is “the best.” When we’re talking about mediocre teams who didn’t even sniff the top of their conference, no one knows who’s better than who. That’s the problem with college athletics rn is these hypothetical guarantees

@Barphalemew @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli That’s wrong. The best at large teams should be in. Otherwise the selection is a fraud, as it was this year. It was two years ago too when Virginia got in. They got stomped by CSU. It’s a shame that Miami faced another fraud tonight.

@Barphalemew @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli Winning isn’t winning if it’s against the very bottom of the barrel. Otherwise we’d want the 25 win low major teams that didn’t win their conference. We don’t. Miami doesn’t belong.

@DosHatGato @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli But it’s evidence that there are outliers which is my point. But really what I can gather that we disagree on is the purpose of playoffs in college sports. Is it to matchup the hypothetical “best” teams of which we don’t actually know? Or is it to reward winning teams?

@Barphalemew @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli I’m just telling you what’s happened. You said “what about all these upsets”. Less than 5% isn’t “all these upsets”. It’s some no-name goober goes off for 25 against Kansas State in a 12-5.

@DosHatGato @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli Dude 😂 I respect the numbers but sports isn’t played in a vacuum. If so, let’s just simulate a video game instead of actually playing the games. This is actually what I hate about college sports and what ruined it is all of these metrics and hypotheticals

@Barphalemew @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli If a Q1 team played 30 Q3/Q4 games, they should win them 100% of the time in a vacuum. Since 1985, teams 14th / 15th / 16(where you’d expect to find teams on the 200/300 KP range) are 36-124. So about 4.5% are upsets. With shooting variance, injuries and matchups that tracks.

@DosHatGato @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli We’re just going to have to disagree on that. You actually think there are 25-40 teams who can go undefeated in the MAC? Like not lose a single regular season game in a D1 conference? It’s happened like 9 times in history mind you.

@Barphalemew @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli Because we aren’t talking about the 16 seed HBCU team low-majors like Queens who need to win their conference tournament to get in. So not all 64 team. But the at-large bids should be the best 25-40 teams who didn’t win their conference tournament. Those teams should win, yes.

@DosHatGato @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli It’s notable because they might play a few early in the season. Not a full conference schedule of those teams. All of the p4 conference teams want to talk about how they’d go undefeated in a mid-major conference, then why are there always tournament upsets?

@Barphalemew @HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli 35-37 teams*, but yes otherwise. It’s notable and newsworthy when a high-major or otherwise NCAA at-large team loses to a 200/300 KP team. In fact, it is often THE reason they are on the bubble or left out of the field. It’s damaging because at-large teams don’t lose those.

@HeavyLobster43 @TomFornelli If you’re playing sub-2/300 KP teams you should win every single time. So then you just need 5-7 wins in conference, end up with 25-ish wins and you’ll have a SUBSTANTIALLY better resume than Miami has.
