@KaylorHodges Maybe I shouldnt be, but surprised we're keeping this much of the core together after rocky season. I like it though, consistency in the roster is more important to me than maybe even winning. Midfield is the top priority to me, even if we have to stick Mikey in back again

This is a fantastic core of players to have. This is arguably the strongest foundation we have ever started an off-season with.
That said, losing Ando hurt a lot more than I thought it would.
Neco, Juan, and Jake are three players I REALLY hope we bring back.

Bringing back a solid core here. Ando and Gabriel leaving are not surprises at this point. Mataeo being declined was not expected: he was on loan to Columbus Crew 2 of MLS Next Pro and had a very good season.

@USLTactics Don't you think alot of that had to do with how poorly our midfield was in the 2nd half? At the end of the game we had no true midfielder on the field. Playing Rufe in midfield is unacceptable from Soehn.

Preston and Nwegbo added nothing of note off the bench either. The speedsters weren’t at fault: RGV packed into two banks of four and utterly denied the wingers in the final third. You see four examples here.

From the opening kick, @RGVFC was good finding Taylor Davila in the central midfield, driving attacks via him and the Ricketts-Pinzon pair on the right.
The challenge from there? Up the tempo to beat Birmingham, or keep the ball in the final third. Robert @robcoronado3 did both.

@KaylorHodges This is it. Dude never stopped running for 90+ minutes. Covered up sooo many mistakes by just busting ass back into the play. We have guys that do that most of the time, but Dean did it ALL the time.

What people forget about Jonny Dean is not his attacking or defending. It was the work rate to get back and at least slow down a counter. I completely understand it's painfully hot and I wouldn't want to run either, but there was not a hint of work rate to get back from our RB.

🧵Finally got to watching the match back and I have my thoughts:
Goal 1: Alex has played that ball what feels like 100 times this season. Unexpected press on Enzo led to the mistake. I don't understand playing it out from the back when you can have JA9 win it in the midfield.

My hot take is that Diba, until further notice, has won the job over Pasher. Diba offers pace and technical ability with incredible strength to boot.

I think Diba Nwegbo has been this team’s best player during this poor run of form. The bright side of losing Pasher for a month. He made that goal happen.

@khayes888 @KaylorHodges I still think a fully healthy version of this team can win the title. The offensive issues make sense to me: nobody else does what Corcoran or Pasher does. Take Corcoran out in May and Pasher out now and we struggle. Why the defense can't hold a lead is the mystery to me.

@khayes888 @KaylorHodges I find it hard to swallow that a squad with Enzo, Asiedu, Kavita, Pasher, Mikey, MVO, Agudelo, Brett isn't mentally tough. This is a roster full of bad men and you can see how frustrated they are on the pitch. The chemistry has not been good- Kaylor hit on it w too many wingers

In a vacuum, a draw to Sacramento is a good result. What are your thoughts, Legion fans?
