Much of the hate for the England football team is very odd. Sure, Scots & Welsh will always have the ick (Scots had a chance to be independent & didn’t vote for it) If it’s historic colonialism, why don’t people hate on the Spanish, Belgians or French in the same way? Very weird

@DrNeilStone Not what the stats showed. England only had 6 shots compared to Mexicos 20 - possession was 70/30 Mexico. It was a smash and grab win.

Pains me as a Scot to admit but England mightily deserved that win. Mexico had home advantage, used to the altitude, and even an extra player , but still couldn't do it. England without a doubt the better team.
