We have been carrying out inspections of our flood defence assets following the high water levels. The high water mark is clearly visible on this floodgate in Upton-upon-Severn. We also inspected flood defence outfalls along the River Severn between Tewkesbury and Gloucester.

Over the past 24 hours, #Somerset has experienced moderate to high rainfall. A Met Office Yellow Weather Warning for rain is in place. We continue to operate our assets including additional pumps, and staff are on duty 24 hours a day, monitoring conditions and maximising pumping

Feel like the rain hasn’t stopped? ☔ For some places, it really hasn’t! 😦 North Wyke, Cardinham and Astwood Bank have recorded rain every single day so far this year 🌧️

Well done to Joe who acted as Field Operations Site Controller for the first time at #Bewdley Demountable deployment site. Ensuring everyone was inducted and followed the risk management in place on-site. This is following training and development in his time with @EnvAgencyMids

Flood barriers are continuing to be taken down. The barriers we put up across the West Midlands kept 7,000 properties dry. This latest pic is from Frankwell in Shrewsbury. Make sure you get flood warnings this winter: gov.uk/get-flood-warn…

@BarryKillnerEA @EnvAgencyMids Hi Barry, sorry to bother you. I'm working on Midlands Today's programme today. We have a reporter and crew in Ewyas Harold looking at the clean-up, would you be available or able to do a short interview? Thanks!
