Myself and 3 other Nigerians have been unlawfully detained in Johannesburg airport for literally doing nothing, papers complete, visa valid and they literally just singled us out of the crowd for nothing, and onenof us's phone has been seized all day and hasn't been allowed to reach out to anyone. They are trying to take my own phone now, so I am putting this out so that the world knows that if anything happens to us, south Africa should be held responsible, please repost and tag the authorities concerned.. They are saying that they will detain us for no reason until God knows when. We are telling them that we want to book another flight back home immediately and they are refusing that. @abikedabiri @PoojaMedia @instablog9ja

Upon my return to Abuja, I was parked by a soldier on duty who asked where I was heading, and I mentioned FCT. He politely asked if could lift one of his colleagues to Abuja, and I said it was fine. When I was few meters close to Giri junction, I asked the officer his route, he was heading to Zuba while I was going through Lugbe axis to the town. I told him Zuba isn’t far. Transport is around 2-300 Naira. I asked if he was going to stop there(Zuba), or he was heading somewhere. He then told me he was going home to see for the first time after 10 months, his newly born twins. No permission was granted over the period. Sadly, he had to make the compulsory trip because his wife had called that one of the babies had died. And she urged him to come see the other twin in case he will die too. I asked him why he didn’t leave earlier than he left. He replied that he waited with the hope that salaries will be paid, since today is second, but it wasn’t, unfortunately. How then do you intend to make it, I asked him. He showed me all the money he had on him –4,500 which wasn’t even enough to get him to his destination. I could not help than give him 20k and I took his phone number, giving him my words that I will call to get information about the sick baby. I want to ask a question, please 🙏🏻 Are these the soldiers we expect to lay down their lives in our protection? You’re owing soldiers, and you want them to be effective while fighting insecurity? Sadly, this is really laughable. Allahumma bārik. BMT Ibira

I think I must have said this before. 1. Do not build in the same compound with your brother. If you must, make sure that there is a clear demarcation by fencing yours. 2. Do not contribute money together with your brother to build a house. Build yours and let him build his. 3. Do not abandon your own house project to renovate a family house, unless you have enough money to do so, or you are the first son. 4. Once you marry a wife, every property you acquire should be known to your wife. Do not say that you want to hide things from your wife while trusting your brother with all the details. 5. As long as you know that your wife is a good wife to you, tell her that if you suddenly die, she should immediately take all your important documents out of the house to a safe place. If you have more than one car before your demise, ask her to sell any cars that are no longer needed and keep the money for herself and your children. 6. If you're going to do any business with your brother, do so on clear legal and agreed terms. Treat him like a business partner, not like a blood brother. If you doubt any of these things that I have said, screenshot it and send to your father. End.

So there's this auntie of mine, right? My dad paid her tuition fee right from sec to tertiary institution even though we were all struggling back then. After schooling, she ended up marrying a rich guy who worked with Enugu government and through her husband she also got a job at the government house. Everyone was happy for her, thinking she'd help other family members get jobs/connections…. Some of my relatives that are also seeking for jobs approached her… She'd promise people she'd help, but nothing ever happened. She'd just brag about her husband's wealth instead. How he has a house in Enugu.. how he built a hotel like mansion in his village. After some years, My bro, my dad's first son finished school and was looking for a job, she asked my bro to come to her house with his CV. We were all happy…. we thought she'd help him out since my dad had done so much for her but my bro spent 9 months plus at her place, promises here and there and she ended up treating him like a houseboy! My bro came home without informing anyone, told us everything… How she said my dad doesn’t have a house in the village as a first son, that he got married late, that my bro should bring a girl home , she would sponsor the wedding. That statement about my dad not having a house in the village hurt him so much (imagine an Igbo man with no house in the village ) We all decided to stop dealing with her and focus on ourselves. After some months, my bro got a job at the airport in Lagos through my mom district pastor. THINGS TURNED AROUND FOR US. my bro bought a land in Enugu town and started building , my elder sister got a good job and set up her own company. Last weekend, during my sister's wedding prep, we had to involve family and all that, and this auntie was part of it. She starts acting all high and mighty, saying we can't have the wedding in Lagos, we have to come to Enugu... like she's the boss or something. "Which house will they do it in?" We can’t do Ada’s trad in another’s man house blah blah… Imagine her shocked when she found out my bro had built a 2-storey building in Enugu and my sister owned her own company and she’s set to marry a rich man 😂 The gist is that , because e stew for you now no mean say e no go stew for others later.

I’m out of the house right now, yet there’s always power at home. As long as the sun rises, electricity is guaranteed. I don’t know what a national grid collapse is. Whether power stations get gas or not doesn’t concern me. Water levels at dams are not my problem. Bandits vandalizing transmission lines doesn’t affect me. All I need is for God to command the sun to rise, and my home keeps running. Yet you want me to accept the rhetoric that NEPA is better than solar? That argument makes no sense.

“Native doctor Aka Mmuo Mmiri Afulanya used to bring young men and women to this river to bathe them in essence, promising they would get rich quickly. We gave him enough time to invoke the crocodile, but he couldn’t. After our preliminary investigation, the suspect will be handed over to the Nigeria Police,” — Ken Emeakayi, Homeland Security.

Apparently, Nnewi Native doctor, Aka Mmuo Mmiri led Agunechemba Security Operatives to his water shrine this afternoon Following his arrest in Nnewi, he was taken to the river where he allegedly invokes spirits, including a crocodile. He was given time to summon the crocodile, but it did not appear. The operatives then continued searching his residence.

@iamnasboi @Naija102FM You go explain tire… you know how the media works. You should’ve filtered your words properly so even edited clips couldn’t be used as clickbait. That wasn’t smart at all.

Too respectful to call out a radio station, but please @Naija102FM… clickbait can ruin a person’s career. Don’t be selfish chasing clicks without caring about the damage it causes. The interviewer asked if Davido is my guy. I said no he is my boss. But what’s now all over social media is: “Davido isn’t my guy.” Why cut out the part that gives the statement its real meaning? A little responsibility in how interviews are edited and posted can save a lot of unnecessary misunderstanding.

I asked a lawyer what to do if a debt is due and you can’t pay, his response was: if you are owing someone money and the person brought Police to arrest you, this is what you should do. At first, the police have no legal authority to arrest you for a simple debt, as it is a civil matter and not a criminal offense. According to the Police Act 2020 and the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA), the police are strictly prohibited from interfering in civil disputes or acting as debt collectors Meaning that, the Police officer the person brought to arrest you, is on illegal duty and is on a mission to perform illegal arrest. So at this point. 1. Ask the Police officer for his ID and take note of his name 2. Calmly tell the officer it's a civil matter 3. If the officer insist on arresting you, don't resist the arrest. Follow him 4. If they ask you to sign any undertaking of when you will pay back, sign it That undertaking is not enforceable anywhere, so no fear at all Once you are out File a suit against the person you owe and the Police Officer for breach of your fundamental human right and illegal arrest with unlawful detention In the suit, demand for damages of 50 Million Naira( on a lighter note you then take part of the money you win from the case and pay the debt 🤣😂) Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

@Ayoelesho Some are genuinely working for their families, and those ones will reap the fruit of their hard labour. But I tell you a lot of them work to drink beer, carry women, buy themselves the best clothes etc. But 95% of mothers will do anything and everything solely for their children
