Absolute worst that he got hurt this year. Yankees haven’t had a legitimate prospect with as good of a hit tool and speed as him in ages. If he got full healthy run, he’s in at least high A right now and puts himself on good pace to snag a 2B job (or CF, whichever the org thinks is best) by 2028…maybe even could’ve been late next year.

I do think on base skills matter far more than speed for lead off guys but nonetheless, one day when he is healthy and gets proper run, he will save us.

It only took a great play by Mookie because of the bad throw A decent throw by Pages and Rushing has enough time to take nap. There’s no way of defending that send. It reeks of desperation and goes against baseball 101. You don’t send a runner home with less than 2 outs and the middle of the lineup unless he can walk home.
