Sebastián Pérez, who is set to sign with the New York Yankees in 2027 for a $1.7 million bonus, shared his excitement about joining the organization. "I'm very excited to become a Yankee. I grew up loving this team. I see myself reaching the MLB in the coming years." Scouts describe Pérez as one of the top catchers in the 2027 international class, praising his Judge-like power, Elly De La Cruz's speed, and Yadier Molina's defensive ability.

@NYY_Prospects This happens every year. 🤣😂 You are not getting drafted unless you fit the budget.
Blackhawk770@blackhawk770

@NYY_Prospects I promise you, they won't exceed 105% but they'll spend every dollar. Oppenheimer has done this same exact thing just about every year for over a decade.

11th-rounder Anthony Potestio has signed, via Baseball America’s tracker. $150,000 bonus. Tyce Armstrong, a fifth-year senior with no remaining eligibility at Baylor, is the only holdout.

@WexlerRules @blames_ I mean, even if they have no intention of carrying so many C's. They can either create a competition and trade the one that doesn't win a spot or match offer with no intention of keeping him, then trade him to get some value back. Either way, it would seem foolish not to match.

In his first inning of the season, LHP Brandon Clarke threw a sinker at 103.1 mph with 18” of armside run, which has never been done by a lefty in the MLB in the Statcast era He was acquired by the Cardinals in the Sonny Gray trade

@NYY_Prospects Expecting some promotions once FCL season ends in a few days most notably Wilberson De Pena which should set of a chain reaction of promotions.

FYI: Despite playing better of late, FCL Yankees are eliminated from playoff contention. They have three games left. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

@blackhawk770 @blames_ Yeah. It's such a low-money deal that there is zero downside for Dallas. The Knicks probably figure there is no downside to throwing out a sheet regardless.

There is no world I imagine the Yankees exceed 105%. Those penalties are HARSH. They must’ve gotten some big deals with Cutshall and Garris. I’m suddenly wary that they can sign everyone. Anthony Potestio and Diego Castellanos have remaining eligibility and likely NIL offers.
Yankees Prospect Watch@NYY_Prospects

The math: The Yankees are currently $264,700 over their assigned pool with no potential savings remaining. They only have $102,440 left to go over the default $150,000 bonus for the 11th-20th round picks. 6 of them have already signed, but for TBD amounts.

Yankees ninth rounder David Leslie was one of four undrafted players last year that I had on my value UDFA list out of Division III Grove City. Went to Pitt this year and showed some big stuff, particularly a curveball and changeup.

@BarstoolHubbs Two years remaining on contract, they don't spend big money, they need reliable starting pitching, the team still a couple years away from being a real contender realistically. Why the fuck not?

So Jay Z is doing 2 more stadium shows in 2026. LA, and Paris. I know im a bit bias, but that vibe in Yankee Stadium will forever be unmatched

@Radioblitz @ShadrockGE @jordanyroc I already said I understand. The fact that Big was a bigger presence when he was alive is all there is. Fortunate to have experienced both and the birth of hip-hop. Blessed!

It’s not that Jay combines a bit of what each of them do best. It’s that Jay has had a huge influence on every single one of them. In a multitude of ways, not just musically. Jay is The Blueprint. Literally. He’s the most influential rapper ever. The bar. The standard. The one everyone has studied and measure themselves against. They also all desire his validation.
CY Chels@SeewhyChels

🚨 Rosenberg says Jay-Z combines the best qualities of Drake, Kendrick Lamar & J. Cole Rosenberg argues Drake has more hits, Kendrick has more deeply meaningful records, and Cole excels in his own way but says Jay-Z is the complete package. He says Hov blends hit-making, lyricism, charisma and cultural impact in a way none of the current “Big 3” can match. Via The Ebro, Laura, Rosenberg Show

Spent the day over at the #Yankees complex for their game between their two DSL clubs. Catcher Poly Ojeda was the star of the show. He hit two home runs. Check em out.

@Radioblitz @ShadrockGE @jordanyroc I understand. It's what happens when you're dead and someone else has recent relevancy. I just saw an interview w/Kendrick where he said he was influenced by Big and Jay when he expanded on his west coast bias to grow as an artist. No one today is naming Rakim as an influence.

@profiledbydsign @jordanyroc Well you don't know me and nobody is discrediting anybody, just your ignorance and low intelligence. Jay is a great artist and one of the best to ever do it. Your problem is, you so far up his ass, anything u perceive as negative, you're ready to crash out. You sound stupid.

@blackhawk770 @jordanyroc Lmao. I was born and raised in NY. Probably a fan before you. I can recite both Biggie albums front 2 back—on cue. Bullshit narratives like yours try to discredit Hov off of no factual evidence. Sadly, Biggie died & gave y’all fantasy A&Rs life. We speak facts over here.

@ShadrockGE @jordanyroc It makes perfect sense for NY'ers. Big and Jay went to HS together and close in age. Big popped before Jay due to his abilities. Jay had been putting out music before Big. If Big were still alive, those same superior abilities would still have him on top which creates influence.

@blackhawk770 @jordanyroc This doesn’t make much sense. Jay’s debut album dropped in June of 96, Biggie passed 9 months later. Of course Biggie would have had more influence over a new artist because he had already been on the scene for years
