To fake this in the 1920s, the crew built a hidden iron platform in the studio to hold the actors, using massive fans to blow their capes and billowing glass wool to create the surrounding clouds. They then used double exposure to layer the actors over a moving, miniature model city, making it look like they were actually soaring over the mountains and rooftops.

For the first time yesterday, I experienced the new @alamodrafthouse QR code ordering system and I can tell you it’s truly awful. Rather than making ordering food and drink more efficient, it actually adds steps to the process AND if you want to order additional items during the film you HAVE to open your phone. No, your cute reference to that irony in your How To Alamo video doesn’t negate how ridiculous this is. Please don’t cut corners with your staff and revert back to physical menus and order cards.

My personal experience with AI is that most of the gen AI companies have offered me buckets of money (house money!) to publicly endorse their tools and claim they are central to my creativity (have turned them all down).
What's interesting is that there are SO many people who are hyped about these tools who should be getting the bag instead of me. So all I can gather is that these companies are throwing money around to control the story about who their tools are for. Seems like they'll pay anything to have non-AI folks endorse the AI tools.
