GoodLife Fitness has issued an apology for the Kirpan incident but hasn't addressed how it's going to keep its member safe. I have spoken to many in the Sikh community, and the knife he was wielding is no Kirpan, it’s a hunting knife.

Which means a civilization of five million people, their names, their gods, their laws, whatever they thought about their own remarkable cities, is sitting in museum cases, written down, visible, and yet silent. The Tamil Nadu state government has a standing prize of one million dollars for a verified decipherment. It has never been claimed.

This was Goodlife’s response regarding the individual that was asked to leave due to the kirpan they were carrying. They couldn’t even stand by their employee who was obviously uncomfortable with someone having such a large blade on them. Why should one’s “religion” automatically mean the people around them should just feel safe? You don’t know anyone, their mental state, their past, their views. Women in Canada can’t carry any form of protection because why? their belief to keep themselves safe is not as strong as Sikhs belief in the Kirpan? We can’t make endless accommodations for some & leave entire groups ignored. Something has to give.
