🇺🇸 Rhode Island Mayor Brett Smiley has branded a mural of murdered Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska "divisive" and called for its removal. “The murder of the individual depicted in this mural was a devastating tragedy, but the misguided, isolating intent of those funding murals like this across the country is divisive and does not represent Providence.” The project was started by Intercom CEO Eoghan McCabe, receiving pledges of financial support from Elon Musk and Andrew Tate.
